Her role also encompasses regular articles for some of the industry’s leading magazines and news portals.

Prior to joining Zenith Global in 2015, Christina’s previous roles included Marketing and Project Management for leading UK arts venues and organisations. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Edinburgh and sits on the Board of Trustees for two local music charities.

As Associate Director - Events, Francesca is responsible for the planning and delivery of Zenith Global's food and beverage industry conferences and its international award schemes. Across both in-person and virtual events, Francesca acts as project manager, coordinating speakers and suppliers, driving event promotion and shaping sales strategy. Leading the events team, she also oversees the department's business development strategy. Additionally, Francesca develops and implements Zenith Global's multi-channel corporate marketing, generates all outward written and visual content and acts as the company's brand guardian.

Francesca has worked within the food and beverage sector for over 7 years, working closely with industry stakeholders in both market research and event management roles. Francesca holds a BA Hons degree in Business Management from The University of Sheffield, alongside study at Copenhagen Business School.

Paul Thomson is Director of Zenith's Water and Environment team. He has over 20 years' experience in the fields of water resources and hydrogeology and is a Chartered Geologist.

Paul has successfully delivered a wide range of projects and initiatives in countries in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Central and East Asia. He provides technical leadership for Zenith's water resource projects and has a strong focus on source risk assessment, borehole installation and testing, and technical Due Diligence. He is also an experienced Expert Witness.

Paul is fluent in English and French and holds a BSc. Hons in Environmental Science from the University of Sussex, a Maîtrise in Environmental Science from Montpellier University, and a DESS in Hydrogeology from Avignon University.

Susannah is the Principal Operations Consultant at Zenith Global and is responsible for leading and managing all Operations Consulting in Zenith. Prior to joining Zenith Susannah has worked in a variety of sectors within food and drink, including Yeo-Valley, Heineken, Cargill and Kerry Ingredients. She has over 10 years’ experience of delivering large scale multi-disciplinary projects. She has led projects from initial feasibility and conception to successful plant commissioning for FMCG clients.

Susannah has a MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and a Diploma in Management.

Michael's key skills are developing new businesses and sustainability submissions. He started his career with his own business. This was sold to Fanfare/ Audio Fidelity plc. He subsequently developed new businesses for Geest Foods and Florimex, before joining The Coca-Cola system for 20 years starting in 1997. For The Coca-Cola Company he developed the core business in Saudi Arabia, then the McDonald’s partnerships in Middle East and Africa. After that, he developed the Nestea and Nescafé iced coffee brands in Europe, Middle East and Africa and finally developed a system business plan for China. For Coca-Cola HBC, he was Commercial Director for ‘off premise’ customers in 28 countries and managed the business partnership with illy and Monster. Michael was also responsible for innovation and commercial submissions to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index during the three years when Coca-Cola HBC led the index. Prior to joining Zenith, he was Global Business Development Director for Capri-Sun AG.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s of Business Administration from Ashridge/City of London University. He lives in Vienna and has a postgraduate qualification in Corporate Sustainability from New York University

Olivier is a technical consultant with 38 years of international experience in the food industry on Quality, Food Safety, Environmental and Safety, including 28 years at Coca-Cola. As a free-lance consultant, he has also provided his expertise for 6 years to organizations of all sizes in more than 60 countries throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

In his previous role as Senior Quality, Safety and Environment Manager for The Coca-Cola Company, Olivier was responsible for 14 franchised Bottlers, 25 plants located in 14 countries, generating a System Net Sales Revenue of 2.5b$ with an Operating Income of 275M$.

He brings an extensive technical knowledge of the beverage industry end-to-end in developed and developing markets with a focus on QSE Risk Management, Social and Environmental Impact Reduction, Validation of New Technologies. Olivier is fluent English and French and holds a Master in Food Technology from the ENITIAA in Nantes, France.

Alex is the founder and CEO for W2O, a food technology firm for the past ten years. He specializes in creating Better Food with niche expertise in contemporary taste & smell neuroscience and state of art clean label plant-based sweeteners and flavours. Food and beverage companies hire him to bring food science to their new product development efforts on topics such as sugar reduction, salt reduction and multisensory eating experience. Food ingredient firms retain him to lead the creation of plant-based sweeteners and sweetness modulators.

Alex is also Chief Science Officer Sweeteners for Amyris a clean ingredient fermentation company, on the science advisory board for Aromyx a biosensor start-up, and Advance International a marine protein start-up all near Silicon Valley, CA, USA.

Prior to that, Alex had held various R&D leadership positions in companies including Pepsi, Starbucks, and Wrigley. He led technical teams to achieve business results. Alex holds a PhD in Food Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Gareth has been immersed in the Drinks industry for more than twenty years, with a broad experience and network gained from working with over thirty countries. Leading Tesco’s Soft Drinks & Hot Beverage category, and then creating Carlsberg’s Third Party & Licensed Brands business unit, has given Gareth a unique insight from working with many of the world’s largest drinks companies. Licensee of brands from Diageo to AB InBev, bottlers for both Coke and Pepsi, co-manufacturing with Refresco and Niagara. Gareth has faced a diverse range of business challenges, for example he has led the restructure of Nestlé’s Tea business unit following the termination of their joint venture with the Coca-Cola Company, and also built a half billion euro wholesales buying group. Lucia Vilsecker is a marketing professional educated in Political Science with a Master’s degree in History. Working with both agency and brand, Lucia has become an expert in marketing & the process of creating and implementing innovation. Thomas Miksits-Dioso studied International Business Administration at Universität Wien before starting ‘all I need’ in 2010. Over many years Lucia and Tom have been building ‘all I need.’ from a beverage start-up into one of the fastest growing and most well-respected brands in Austria. The brand has been acquired by 'Capri-Sun' in 2018. Lucia continued to be responsible for the brand marketing acting as an intrapreneur inside Capri-Sun as the number of countries selling ‘all I need’ grew. Christian Maffeo is an Italian but in the last 15+ years he has lived in 6 European countries and worked in 30+ markets. He started his career with SABMiller in various above-market as well as local marketing roles. Prior to the acquisition of SABMiller by Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2016, Christian was Commercial Manager of ‘on trade’ in Europe Middle East. Following the acquisition, Christian became Country General Manager for Asahi in Baltics and the Nordics. Before becoming a consultant, he was a senior director at the Carlsberg Group.

The focus of his consulting work is the sales and marketing development of premium brands. Christian has a Master Degree in Business Management from Università di Roma “La Sapienza” and he attended courses in Management & Leadership from Ashridge Business School. John began his career in the aviation industry, running leased widebody jet operations across the Middle East and West Africa. In his most recent role Tim was the President of The Coca-Cola Company’s Western Europe Business Unit and supported the wider industry as President of UNESDA, the European Soft Drink Association. Before moving back to Europe, he spent six years in Asia where he was President of Coca-Cola Japan. This Japanese business is known for innovation with more than 300 launches per year and a diverse beverage portfolio in which coffee, tea and sports brands are bigger than sparkling soft drinks. Prior to Japan Tim worked for both The Coca-Cola Company and one of Coca-Cola’s largest bottlers -- Coca-Cola Hellenic – in a variety of general management, marketing and commercial roles based in Romania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Austria.

Before joining The Coca-Cola Company, Tim held marketing positions in the UK for United Distillers (Diageo) and Walkers Snack Foods (Pepsico). Tim holds an M.A. degree in History from The University of St. Andrews in the United Kingdom.

Neil has worked in many of the growth hotspots across the world in his 35-year career in the beverage industry. Initially he worked for Bass Brewers in the UK, then with PepsiCo in West Africa & the USA before he joined the Coca-Cola system in 1996 in the growth markets of Central Europe. He was instrumental in setting up the infrastructure for Coca-Cola HBC and the Coca-Cola company that facilitated entry into the stills/sensitive products categories in 2002, and as Region Supply Chain Director led and executed transformational supply chain initiatives in Russia, Italy and Ireland.

Most recently, he was VP technical and Supply chain for Coca-Cola in the Greater China & Korea business unit and immediately prior to that held a similar role for the ASEAN countries, giving him 10 years of operations experience all across Asia. In addition to supply chain and technical skills, Neil was country GM for the Czech Republic and has also run a SME in the UK, in the construction and housing industry.

He has a BSc Hons in Engineering from Glasgow University, an MBA from SGBS and is currently studying for the FT NED Diploma. He has recently returned from Shanghai, to his native Scotland but retains the global perspective from his experience living in 9 different countries across Europe, Africa and Asia.

Paula is a corporate communications consultant with a decade of experience in the food and drinks industry. She worked in marketing and new business development roles in the UK and continental Europe with chilled foods group Geest (now Bakkavor), launching product categories and bridging cultural differences during acquisition and due diligence work. Later, she headed up Geest’s investor relations, crafted Geest’s first Corporate Social Responsibility report and oversaw communications during Geest’s takeover. Having found her niche in corporate communications and best practice reporting, Paula worked agency-side across various industries, before becoming an independent consultant. With a heart that never really left the food and drinks sector, Paula’s experience – from wearing factory hard hats, negotiating with retail buyers and communicating with capital markets – means she can help her clients in a practical, holistic way. Her current focus is making reporting disclosures more meaningful and effective for her clients – cutting through the ‘noise’ of ESG metrics such as Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and World Economic Forum (WEF) stakeholder capitalism metrics, as non-financial reporting comes of age. Paula holds a Modern Languages degree from Exeter University and a Masters in European Management from Cranfield School of Management.

Muriel started her career at Unilever where she worked for 13 years in foods, personal and home care in commercial roles in different countries. She led global brands, breakthrough innovations and developed a passion for sustainability and green growth. The Dove inner beauty strategy and campaign was a result of this work. In 2003 she joined Royal Grolsch Brewery to become the global marketing, innovation & strategy director. Sustainability was at the core of the company, directing the building of the new brewery. Muriel led the work for responsible drinking and sustainable innovation. She pursued her career as business development director in media and telecom to explore the digital domain and became the CMO & CSO for KPN telecom, responsible for the first sustainability strategy. Five years later KPN became the leader in the Dow Jones sustainability index. From 2009 she pursuit her career as a sustainability strategy, innovation and growth consultant working mainly in foods and drinks at different international companies. She holds a doctor degree in dentistry and postgraduate qualifications from INSEAD in global business & change and HARVARD’s sustainability programme. Jake Backus is Managing Director of Empathy Sustainability, Head of Sustainability for Seacourt Ltd and Visiting Senior Member of Linacre College, Oxford University. Jake was 16 years at Coca-Cola Europe where he was formerly Commercial Leadership Manager for Coca-Cola Europe and then Customer Sustainability Director for Coca-Cola Europe. Jake works on net positive business and B Corp applications in particular. He has helped Seacourt Ltd to become net positive on climate change for their entire value chain, and the highest-ranking B Corp printer or media company in the world. Jake is a lecturer on a number of Sustainability topics, including plastics & ocean plastics and mentors university start-ups at Oxford University and beyond. He is currently finalizing a DEFRA funded research project to measure air quality in Oxford from a human perspective and also works in the area of assisted natural forest regeneration in Indonesia, as well as active travel and the humanization of cities. He was a finalist for the Sheila McKechnie Foundation (Environment) Campaigner of the year 2008.

Joerg started his career with the Vienna Chamber of Commerce as a sales consultant for organizational development before joining Coca-Cola HBC as an HR manager in 2005. His career progressed to HR director of Austria & Slovenia followed by leading COE for organizational change and capabilities for Coca-Cola HBC Italy (approx 3.000 employees). His passion and proven track record in organisational culture brought him to Germany, where he was as part of the extended leadership team responsible for a major culture transformation for 9,000 employees Coke bottler.

By 2017 Joerg had become Vice President of organizational culture for Coca-Cola European Partners, the biggest independent Coke bottler in the world, with approx. 23.500 employees covering most of the Western European markets. He was designing and orchestrating a multi years culture journey and played a fundamental role in the performance acceleration of the newly formed bottling system.

In 2020, Joerg founded jblu consult and supports as a culture futurist organizations to drive their cultural Journeys. His passion is the humanization of digital transformations. Joerg holds a Master of Business Administration, Wirtschaftsuniversitaet Wien and is Certified Systemic Coach. He lives with his wife in Vienna and is a multiple Ironman finisher.

Per started his sales career with Mars Inc Norway inn 1987. In 1994 he Joined PepsiCo International as Sales Director Norway and later Sales Director Scandinavia. Per was an integral part of a team which won several awards from PepsiCo for outstanding achievements in Norway and The Nordics. In 1997 Per moved to London and joined PepsiCo UK as Customer Development Director. Additional promotions followed. He was soon promoted to European Account Director and then again to Senior Director International. Per has returned to Norway and has been a leadership coach consultant since June 2013. Leadership development is his passion, and his company offers individual and team leadership development programmes. Per conducts between 600-700 hours of face-to-face individual coaching sessions per year. The sessions are aimed at improving awareness of self, understanding of strengths and weaknesses leading to a willingness and commitment to improve through self development.
