Welcome to R.R. Stone

Founded in the English Lake District RR Stone is surrounded by green fields, lakes, sheep and most importantly, . Dry stone walls trail over just about every field and hill and create boundaries separating farmers’ fields. Our Westmorland green and blue can be found on roofs all over the land and if you’ve not got one over your head there’s every chance you’ve eaten off one in a fancy restaurant.

Natural stone, is our passion, it’s what gets us up in the morning, it’s what inspires us and we want to inspire you. So, welcome to RR Stone. If you are planning a new build, renovating, or simply re-decorating we would love for you to come and see us. You can view the tiles on display, ask as many questions as you want, touch them and walk on them and we promise not to do the hard sell... It’s not our style.

As RR Stone has grown, so has our range. We are very proud to be the North West’s premier showroom of Ted Todd natural hardwood flooring. We’ve got Little Greene Paint and wallpapers for you to look at, and quartz worktops and a beautiful range of porcelain tiles (shhhh, not natural, but very nice).

Here at R R Stone we have our own workshops with full manufacturing fabrication facilities.

Stone worktops are the epitome of luxury and are revered for their hard wearing characteristics. Whether natural or quartz stone, there’s such an array of colours and textures you can’t help but find one you’ll fall in love with.

We manufacture a variety of bespoke hearths in Slate, , Quartz & Granite, all cut to size to customer’s requirements.

We also offer Westmorland Slate, suitable for worktops and flooring, that is the ultimate in sustainable and responsible sourcing. These slates have been on the local hills for millions of years, travelled only a few miles and will spend a lifetime enhancing the look of your home.

Stone Finishes

Honed For those who want a smooth, subtle matt/satin finish with a clean contemporary line; honed material is the one for you. Perfect for just about any room in your house.

Polished If you want a glass like finish and to clearly see the markings within the stone then you can’t beat a polished finish. Polished stone reflects natural light throughout your room and is an affordable way to create elegance and opulence. A polished finish normally makes the tile a shade darker than a honed finish.

Tumbled If you are after a timeless floor that looks like it’s been there for years then a tumbled finish is where we would steer you. Tumbling is where the edges of the stone have been softened in a machine with literally thousands of small smooth stones. Sometimes whole corners of the stone come away giving you that vintage, well-worn look. The tumbling process can lighten the appearance of the stone and sometimes give a little texture to the surface of the stone.

Brushed Where tumbling is all about the edges, brushed material is all about the surface. Metal brushes work the stone until a unique patina is formed. Run your hand over the surface and feel the soft undulating texture. Lonsdale grey cleft slate Slate Timeless & Durable

We opened our bathroom showroom in 2017 and offer a full design, supply and install service. Or alternatively, if you already have a fitter, then we are happy to supply only.

Our range spans all styles and budgets and you can always have faith that our products are of top quality. Want patio furniture that can be left outside all year round? Sick of re-oiling teak furniture every year? We have the answer.

All our slate furniture comes assembled and sealed and if required we will deliver and put in place for you. Then simply enjoy using it year after year.

If you want to keep your investment looking at its best and keep it looking that way year after year then using a quality stone sealer is a must. We manufacture our own range of sealers and cleaning products all specifically designed to protect and enhance your stone.
