NELLY TO HEADLINE CHERRY BLAST 2020 AT MGM NATIONAL HARBOR, APRIL 11
Tickets on sale now for National Cherry Blossom Festival event with a limited-time $25 early-bird special
NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. (March 04, 2020) – Cherry Blast – one of the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s premier celebrations – will feature chart-topping, Grammy Award-winning artist Nelly as the headliner of its 2020 event at MGM National Harbor. Taking place Saturday, April 11 in The Theater at MGM National Harbor, Cherry Blast will immerse guests in an Instagram-worthy Cherry Blossom Wonderland with dancing, a DJ, specialty cocktails and more fun surprises.
“We are excited to be the home of Cherry Blast for the second year in a row,” said Chris Gumiela, Vice President of Marketing of MGM National Harbor. “Our resort is synonymous with Monumental entertainers, and Nelly adds to a long list of icons that have performed in our theater.” Early-bird special tickets are available for $25 for a limited time. General admission tickets after early- bird sales end will be $40. VIP tickets for $125 offer an all-inclusive experience with access to the VIP suite level curated by MGM Japan. This space will feature an open bar for the duration of the event, VIP lounges, dedicated seating, premium stage views, fast pass entry and a buffet of authentic Japanese cuisine.
Nelly will perform his biggest hits, making this the biggest party of the iconic cherry blossom season in Washington, D.C. Born in St. Louis, Missouri Nelly is as an American rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, investor and occasional actor. He began his solo career in 2000 with his debut album Country Grammar whose featured title-track and the single “Ride Wit Me” were top ten hits. This is Nelly’s best-selling album to date, selling more than 8.4 million copies in the United States. His following album, Nellyville, produced the number-one hits “Hot in Herre” and “Dilemma” featuring Kelly Rowland. In addition to his musical career, Nelly also was a founding member of the St. Lunatics and appeared in his own reality TV show titled Nellyville. The show aired from 2014 - 2015 and was based on the title of his second studio album, which is about his career and raising four kids.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and the event is scheduled to end at 11 p.m. Guests must be 21+ to attend.
