Owned by Dan Andersen the company operates the USF2000, Pro Mazda and Indy Lights championships, ensuring control of all three development series that comprise INDYCAR’s official path to the Verizon IndyCar Series, the Mazda Road to Indy. Drivers begin the program with entry into the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda. From there, they advance to the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and make their final stop in Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires before graduating up to the Verizon IndyCar Series and Indianapolis 500. The Mazda Road to Indy is unlike any other driver development program in the world in that it offers its champions scholarship prizes to advance to the next level. Special behind the scenes and race weekend content available each race weekend on RoadtoIndy.TV 11 Verizon IndyCar SeriesTelevision Test Partnership Coverage Continuing for 2016, a partnership with the Verizon IndyCar Series will allow Indy Lights drivers to receive the opportunity to test an Indy car during the upcoming racing season. Verizon IndyCar Series teams will receive one bonus private test day during the 2016 season if they utilize an Indy Lights driver for at least half of the track time during the test. Additionally, Verizon IndyCar Series teams that also own and operate an Indy Lights team will receive one bonus private test day for their IndyCar program during the 2016 season.
