www.scotborders.gov.uk The Council (B709 Tweed Bridge, ) (Temporary Closing) Order 2017 The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 6 July 2017 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days between the hours of 08:00 and 15:00 each day. The closures are required for carriageway patching works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along: (a) the B709 from Tweed Bridge, Innerleithen to the B7062 junction in Traquair. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the B709 Traquair Road, Road, the A72, the B7088 to Cardrona and the B7062 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and (b) the U83/1 from Caberston Road, to the B709 junction south of Tweed Bridge. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Caberston Road, Peebles Road, the A72, Pirn Road, High Street and Traquair Road to the point of closure, for eastbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
