PROJECT NAME AND SITE DESCRIPTION

Description of the Project The main purpose of the sub-project is the improvement of pastures watering network in Tsovazard Community providing sufficient water supply for 1440 bovine cattle and 1512 small cattle directly in the pasture. The following construction activities will be implemented under the proposed sub-project:  Construction of two metallic water collection chambers,  Construction of two waterways with total length È=4950 m (D= 160x9,5 mm)  Construction of two metallic troughs with 24 m length  Installation of 6 pressure braking, air resist and discharge chambers The design for pastures watering network has been developed by the HGSHN LLC design company under the contract concluded with Agricultural Project Implementation Unit. Project implementation area, Community Republic of Armenia, Gegharkunik marz, Tsovazard Community Project site location Project implementation area is located at a distance of 80 km from city, and in 5 km from Tsovazard Community. Waterway will be connected to drinking water pipeline, operated by AWSC, for connection to which company provided technical conditions. Land ownership Land required for the project implementation belongs to Community. Letter on land ownership from the Tsovazard Community Head is attached.

Tsovazard is located on socio-economic context eastern part of Sevan lake, located on Gegahama mountain chain, summer pastures are located on 1910-1955 m, above

sea level. Climatic conditions of the Tsovazard possesses is mild mountainous. The winter is cold, snowy. The summer is warm, few clouds, comparatively humid weather. The Sevan Lake mitigates the winter frost and summer heat. Because of the lake, the average temperature in January is almost the same as in Yerevan. Precipitation is not abundant, 400- 450mm on the lake surface, up to 1000 in the mountains. Locations and distance for material Water for construction works will be provided by water sourcing, especially aggregates, water, cistern track. Aggregates and machinery will be obtained stones from the licensed providers within the project area. Contractor may choose to extract equipment himself, in which case contractor must obtain an extraction license prior to commencement of extraction. Metallic and PE pipes as well as all fittings will be purchased from an official supplier. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS

for Connection to the Water Supply and Sewerage Systems operated by Armenian Water and Sewerage CJSC

Water Supply It is possible to supply water from Hatsarat- water main at the volume of water 0.2 L/Sec.

It is necessary for that purpose to: a) build water pipeline according to the plan b) connect the pipeline built to P 500 mm Hatsarat- Lchap water main c) build a manhole with regulating valves at the point of connection (demarcation point) d) mount water meter box at the demarcation point e) not to exceed the maximum amount of the water taken /0.2 L/Sec/

Also, the following should be taken into consideration: a) water supply schedule will be provided, in accordance with the water supply schedule established in the corresponding district of the residential area b) water pressure at the connection point is approximately 1,5-2.0 atm. Pressure c) the installation depth of the pipeline at the connection point is 1.2 m d) the material of the pipeline at the connection point is steel.

Sewerage

No Connection

Specific Conditions Implement the works for the connection of the water and sewer pipelines of the building to the existing systems in the presence of the specialist from “Mets Parni ” subdivision of the Southern territorial branch of the Company. In the absence of the technical capacity of the existing systems, the works for the construction of proposed new water and sewerage systems are carried out at the expense of the owner of the building, in accordance with the technical specifications issued by “Armenian Water and Sewerage” CJSC. In case there is a demand for 24-hour water supply, a corresponding capacity water reservoir should be planned and built. Plan relevant activities for the protection of the area and the buildings against flooding, in case of overloaded sewers and system failures. Failure to comply with the technical specifications and the defined procedures, to use the water as prescribed, to make the payments for the services provided will result in the suspension of water supply and sewerage services provision to the subscriber, unless the incompliances are eliminated. The Technical Specifications are issued for a period of 2 years until July 22, 2018.
