Thanks To Our Volunteers

Aviation Day success is dependent upon the nearly 400 volunteers who donate their time. From assisting with setup to directing visitors, and all areas in between, these folks lent a much needed hand. The Airport staff appreciates all they did!

Aviation Academy Graduates

On May 17, the students who participated in The Aviation Academy, received their "diplomas" in a ceremony at the start of Aviation Day. Aviation Academy is for students, ages 13 through 18, who are curious about aviation.

Students began with an introduction to "ground school." Upon completion of all classes, students were assigned to a certificated pilot for further instruction and, weather permitting at graduation...FLEW! The Aviation Academy is taught by an all-volunteer group of some of the most experienced private, commercial and military pilots in the world. Congratulations to the students.
