Title: INNOVATIONS IN DELIVERY OF CARE AND HOSPITAL SERVICES Summary of Session Background 1) ED (Emergency Department) optimization at Latifa Hospital, Dubai Health Authority (DHA) We had a challenge of overcrowding in our ED. The opportunity here was to improve hospital performance without major capital expenditure; “to do more with existing resources”. For this reason, the solution had to focus on key process areas, clinical improvements and overall operational grievance in order to achieve the desired levels of optimization.

2) Management of Stroke Efficiently Timely management of stroke is extremely important and it involves many departments. In Dubai Model, this is shown with significant improvement in service delivery.

3) Innovations in Innovations in delivery of care to patients with cardiovascular disease is where DHA has excelled. It has become a teaching platform for the rest of the world.

Learning Objectives Innovations through partnerships with other industries would be a great opportunity to deliver care and services in an innovative way.

In addition, if the patient experience were to be enhanced, it would also be necessary tory of develop, coach and empower staff in the various units in order to make the innovations in delivery of care a success.
