Mrs. Deborah Drew, Boston visited Killawalla in search of family roots. Her family background was the O’Dea family who emirgated to the States.

Bridget Butler married an O’Dea who was killed when he fell William Fergus to Michelle Clancy off his horse and cart. Widow on April 21st in Boston, USA. O’Dea married Thomas Sheridan who lived near the Butler Gary Carroll to Ester Garland on homestead south of Killawalla April 29th in Killawalla Church. Church Atlanta Visitors Dr. Tom Fraschillo and his wife, Cecilia, from Atlanta, USA visited the Killawalla and Mayo area during April.

Tom was the former Band Director at the University of Southern Mississippi and his wife was a secondary school

band director. Dr. and Mrs Fraschillo pictures by His band has participated in the St. Parick’s Day the statue of St. Patrick at the bottom of Croagh Patrick. celebrations in Dublin and Michael Butler is pictured other venues in the past. Kathleen Koch, former Washington and Pentagon Correspondent for CNN, visited Killawalla at the end of May Former CNN Washington Correspondent as a guest of Fr. Michael Tracey. Accompanied by her visits Killawalla husband, Rick McNaney, and daughters, Kristen and Kari, the family spent some time touring around the Mayo and Galway areas. Kathleen spent 18 years as a correspondent for CNN, where she not only covered the White House, Pentagon, Capitol Hill and State Department, but aviation and just about every disaster imaginable. Koch provided moving reports from the Mississippi Gulf Coast during and in the years following Hurricane Katrina. Her two documentaries on the recovery of her hometown – Saving My Town – The Fight for Bay Saint Louis and The Town That Fought Back – received a New York Festivals Gold Medal as well as sharing in the 2006 Peabody Award CNN received for its coverage of the hurricane. Presently, Kathleen serves as a moderator for

international gatherings of experts who gather to discuss key and topical international issues such as fake news reporting, security issues, globalization, and climate change. Recently, she returned from moderating an international meeting in Balaklava. Prior to that meeting, she moderated a gathering in Mexico. The Koch family have been friends with Fr. Christopher Kelly, Devlish, died on July 28, 2015 and was buried in Killawalla Cemetery.
