Day 1/May 30: Depart the US. Depart Chicago’s O’Hare airport for your overnight flight to Nice, France. Day 2/June 1: Arrive in Nice. Welcome to the fabulous Mediterranean coastal city of Nice! Meet and greet your local guide at the Nice airport and transfer to the city. Check in at the Hotel Ellington and join your guide for an afternoon walking tour in the old town of Nice. Finish your day with a welcome reception. Day 3/June 2: Full Day in Menton: Clos du Peyronnet - Serre de la Madone - La Citronneraie. Travel by coach to Menton, the City of Gardens, to visit CLOS DU PEYRONNET, where the garden was creat- ed by three generations of the Waterfield family. Admire its pergola, graceful steps and stairway of successive pools-the last of which is the ocean. If time allows, visit the SERRE DE LA MADONE. Bought by the Conservatoire du Littoral in 1999, with assistance from the city of Menton, this garden has been restored to its former glory and serves as an international center for lovers of rare plants and monuments. After lunch, visit LA CITRONNERAIE – the Lemon Garden, which dates from the 16th century. (B) Day 4/June 3: Ephrussi de Rothschild Gardens and Villa. Travel to Cap Ferrat, where you will explore the EPHRUSSI DE ROTHSCHILD GARDENS AND VILLA, surrounded by nine magnificent themed gardens decorated with patios, waterfalls, ornamental ponds, flowerbeds, shady paths and rare species of trees.

After lunch, travel back to Nice and spend your free time exploring the city. (B) Day 5/June 4: Monaco and Eze. Depart Nice for a full day excursion. In the morning you will visit LE JARDIN EXOTIQUE, known as much for its sweeping views of Monaco and the Italian Riviera, as for its unusual flora - the 6,000 varieties of succulents and cacti, in particular, make it worth the effort. While in Monaco you will also get the chance to see the PALACE DU PALAIS and the Changing of the Guard there – the Carabiniers du Prince. Next, the coach will bring you to Eze – a small medieval village famous for its beauty and charm. While there, you will tour the LE JARDIN D’EZE. In the midst of several hundred species of exotic flora, the visit is an invitation to discover plants as well as art. End your day with a three- course din- ner at the restaurant Cap Estel in Eze before returning to your hotel in Nice. (B, D) Day 6/June 5: and Ollieres. After you check out of your hotel, you will be transferred via coach to Grasse, the perfume capital of the world. While there, you will visit the famous perfume museum of Fragonard and explore the exceptional JARDIN DE LA VILLA FORT, created by the British writer, Lady Fortescue, who is famous for her best seller Perfume from Provence. In the afternoon, travel to Figanieres and visit the JARDIN DE SENTEURS to experience the various aromatics and vegetables. Finish your day by traveling to your hotel in Ollières, the Les Terres de Saint Hilaire. (B) Day 7/June 6: Gorges du Verdon. Travel from Ollières to Moustiers Sainte Marie via the Gorge du Verdon, one of Europe’s most beautiful river canyons. Formed by the Verdon River, which is named for its startling turquoise-green color, it is one of the area’s distinguishing characteristics. Once in Moustiers Sainte Marie, you will tour the breathtaking gardens of LA BASTIDE DE MOUSTIERS. Whether it is strolling through the five distinct vegetable gardens, taking in the beautiful scenery while walking through the Garden of the Simple, or taking a long, contemplative stroll through the five acres of nearby

park, the gardens here are a true rapture for nature lovers. Enjoy a lunch here before returning to Ollières. (B, L) Day 8/June 7: Van Joanis Winery and Garden. In the morning, travel to the north of Aix-de-Provence to explore the VAL JOANIS WINERY AND GARDEN and enjoy a wine and olive oil tasting. After lunch on your own, transfer back to your hotel and spend some free time in Ollières. (B) Day 9/June 8: Aix-en-Provence. This morning you will visit the fabulous markets of the Aix-en-Provence. While you are here, the Old Town of Aix turns into a giant extended market where you can browse delicious regional produce in an exquisite historical setting. I.D./Citizenship: Travelers must possess a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the tour’s conclusion. Reservation name must match the name on the passport. Complete passport name, number and expiration date, along with gender and birth date, are required to confirm reservations per TSA/airline requirements. Deposits and Payments: Please make checks payable to Burkhalter Tours. Most major credit cards are also accepted, although sometimes a cash discount may be offered. A deposit of $400 per person is required to secure reservations. All tour confirma- tions are subject to receipt of signed tour application and payment verification. Final payment is due by January 25, 2016. Cancellations/Refunds: All cancellations are subject to a $50 Burkhalter Tours service fee that may not be covered by tour oper- ator insurance. In addition to the service fee and possible airline penalties, tour cancellation penalties are as follows: 180+ days prior to departure: Deposit non-refundable; 44-22 days prior: 20% of total price; 21-8 days prior to departure: 30% of total price; 7-1 day prior: 50% of total price; On departure day and later: 100% non-refundable. No refund will apply on unused portions of the tour. If a roommate cancels, the remaining traveler may have to pay any single room supplement that is incurred. If there are less than 20 travelers booked, the tour may be cancelled or the price may increase based on the smaller number. Once deposit has been received, any changes to air or land arrangements may be assessed a $50 revision fee. Revision fees may be higher once air is ticketed. Air Transportation: The included group airfare may depend on a minimum number of travelers. Fares, schedules and routing are subject to change by the airlines. Airline seat assignments are generally made by the airline, and changes can only be request- ed after final payment, and may be limited in availability. If specific seat assignments are vital to your enjoyment of the tour, we recommend individual air reservations. Deviations from the group air schedule may result in a different airfare. Accommodations/Coach Transportation: Tour hotels are first-class or higher properties with private ensuite facilities and gener- ally offer two beds. Touring coaches are deluxe, climate-controlled vehicles with panoramic windows and seats that partially recline. Single travelers are allocated one seat only. Traveler Fitness: Travelers should be in reasonably good health, able to climb stairs and walk moderate distances. Individuals with physical and/or cognitive limitations must be accompanied by an able individual who will assume complete responsibility for them - tour personnel cannot and will not provide this kind of assistance.
