Silent Auction Rules 1. The Silent Auction will begin promptly at 5:00 on June 9, 2018 and will close at approximately 6:20 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Each closing bid will be certified by an Auction Official and constitutes the winning bid. Serious bidders should stand next to auction bid sheet until Auction Official picks up bid sheet. Not all bid sheets are picked up at the EXACT closing time. 2. All items and services have been donated to Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) and are sold by JACCC and not the donor. Purchasers may not ask for refunds or exchanges from the donor. Auction coordinators are not responsible for lost merchandise or certificates. Lost merchandise or certificates will not be replaced. 3. All purchases are final. NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS. 4. All Silent Auction items and services must be used within the time limits specifically stated in the catalog and are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the donors. Please note that all accommodations are subject to availability. Exact dates and detailed conditions of stays in hotels must be arranged in advance by the purchaser with the donor, keeping in mind that all black-out periods stated in the catalog and on certificates will apply. All noted restrictions and expiration dates apply. Expiration dates cannot be extended. 5. JACCC assumes no responsibility should any of these establishments be unable to fulfill your certificate. 6. In the event of a contested item, the last two individuals appearing on the bid sheet will participate in a sealed “bid off.” This will be in written form. The decision of the Auction Official in this procedure will be final. 7. All gifts in the Silent Auction have bid sheets affixed nearby. Persons bidding must include their name, bid number, table number, phone number and bid amount on the sheet. Incorrect bid raises will be changed by the Auction Officials. 8. Winners will be notified at their tables during the evening. Items purchased must be removed the evening of the event. Payments must be made at the time and may be made by cash, check (made payable to JACCC), Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. 9. Please note minimum bids and increases in bid amounts for each item. Bids will be honored only if incremental bidding is in accordance with the minimum increases. Bids below opening minimum bids will be changed to the proper increase. 10. The Auction Coordinators have endeavored to catalog and describe the Auction items correctly, but all items are sold “as is” and the Auction Coordinators neither warrant nor represent and in no way are responsible for the correctness of description, or genuineness, authorship, provenance or condition to represent cash value and, once given to the purchaser will not be replaced (if lost or otherwise). No statement contained in the Catalog or made orally at the Auction or elsewhere shall be deemed to such a warranty representation or assumption of liability. 11. Certificates are the same as cash and cannot be replaced by the Auction if lost or stolen. These trips are only suggested, should you wish to extend you stays you must coordinate with the donor directly, at your expense. AUCTION COORDINATORS DO NOT MAKE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS. 12. Neither JACCC nor Knock Out Productions shall be liable to winners for any failure, delay, cancellation, interruption or changes to any provision of services, events or travel packages purchased which is occasioned by causes beyond our control including, but not restricted to fires, earthquakes, floods or other inclement weather, war, civil commotion or disturbances, strikes, lockouts, labor disputes, accidents, epidemic, interruptions in or delays of transportation services, electrical or power failures or outages, failures or delays in obtaining delivery from donors or manufacturers, suspension or non-renewal of the venue’s license for any reasons whatsoever, or any act ruling, regulation or law of any government bureau or agency or public authority. Delays so caused shall not release winners from their obligations to accept and pay for the items purchased. 13. Items/certificates purchased at this auction cannot be sold on any internet auction or at any other event. Certificates will be considered void if these items are sold on any internet site.

#3 A Flight for Two on the Goodyear Blimp "Wingfoot Two"

Two people are about to join a very elite club of aerial travelers, with a ride for two on the Goodyear Blimp "Wingfoot Two."

Due to the airship's schedule, dates for passenger flights are highly variable. As dates become available, Goodyear will call registered passengers to schedule their flight. If your flight is cancelled due to weather, if possible, it will be reset for a later date based on the airship's schedule. Flights vary in length but are approximately 30-minutes.

Clothing restrictions apply. While children under four years of age are discouraged from flying on the Goodyear Blimp, exceptions can be made. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All passengers 18 years of age or older must present a proper photo I.D. prior to boarding the airship.

The Goodyear Blimp has a varying lift capacity, depending on weather conditions. Therefore the pilot may need to reconfigure passenger groups in order to ensure a safe weight for both launching and landing. Every effort is made to pre-schedule the appropriate number of people for each flight, however, the number of passengers (regardless of size and/or weight) is always at the determination of the Pilot-in-Charge. Goodyear reserves the right to refuse entry on our new-style airship (NT) to any guest exceeding the manufacturer's ladder weight limit of 300 pounds (all guest weights will be verified prior to flight).

All passengers must be fully ambulatory and without physical impairment(s) that could prevent them from moving quickly at the direction of the pilot or ground crew. It is strongly recommended that passengers refrain from using alcohol, or prescription drugs that might interfere with their motor skills or concentration in advance of taking the Blimp Ride. Cell phones and electronic devices must be set to Airplane Mode before boarding the airship. Using these devices is permitted for photo taking only. 2012 Tablas Creek Esprit de Tablas Tasting Notes: The nose is winey and serious, with aromas of blackberry, mint chocolate, aged balsamic, Worcestershire and red licorice. The palate is long and complex, with flavors of black raspberry, plum compote and leather, and Mourvedre's signature flavors of cassis, black tea and roasted meat. The wine's tannins come out on the long finish.

2012 Tablas Creek Grenache Tasting Notes: The 2012 Grenache is a clear garnet color. It shows a clean, minty, lifted nose of mineral and wild strawberries. In the mouth it shows both richness and freshness, with flavors of cherry and red licorice, crushed rock, and sweet spice. Vibrant acids and Grenache's classic front-palate tannins keep the long finish fresh, with lingering flavors of cherry pit and cocoa powder.

2012 Tablas Creek Tannat Tasting Notes: The 2012 Tannat shows a dense purple-black color and has a nose of blue and black fruit, mineral, smoke, game herbs (sage and juniper), and spice. The rich palate has flavors of black cherry, smoked meat, and bittersweet chocolate with big but ripe tannins and a long, smoky, generous finish.

2013 Tablas Creek Grenache Tasting Notes: The 2013 Grenache is a pretty garnet color, with an appealing nose of surprisingly dark fruit for the usually red-fruited Grenache: black raspberry, plum, black pepper, sweet spice and milk chocolate. The mouth shows redder than the nose and is nicely balanced between sweeter and more savory flavors, with wild strawberry, new leather, and a little welcome mintiness.

2014 Tablas Creek Esprit de Tablas Tasting Notes: The 2014 Esprit de Tablas has a powerfully expressive, nose with deep aromas of licorice and cherry liqueur given lift by spicy notes of pink peppercorn and mint. During the next five years Anne honed her design and technical skills working in New York’s garment industry. Her last year in New York was spent working in the costume department at Radio City Music Hall.

In 1985 Anne returned to her native Hawaii and spent a year working for Malahini Hawaii, one of the state’s largest garment manufacturers. After leaving Malahini, and while working out of her parents’ home, Anne started designing her own line of one-of-a-kind garments made from vintage Japanese kimonos and obis. Finally, in 1989, Anne opened her Honolulu boutique in the beautiful Manoa Valley and Anne Namba Designs was born.

Exploring the Supercute World of Hello Kitty was the first large- scale Hello Kitty museum retrospective in the United States. Organized as part of the global icon's 40th-anniversary celebration, the exhibition examined the colorful history of Hello Kitty and her influence on popular culture. Hello! included an extensive product survey, with rare and unique items from the Sanrio archives, alongside a selection of innovative contemporary artworks inspired by Hello Kitty and her world.
