Bell in reference to a home which had been the victim of criminal mischief. The door to the home had glue covering the handle, and some type of oil had been poured on the porch. LW 1518988 Green, Matthew Allen (W M, 32) VICTIM of Found Property (C), at 4000 N First BROWN, D. R. Found Property Ave, Evansville, IN, between 01:00, 08/28/2015 and 02:30, 08/28/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. I had a driver of a parking lot sweeper stop me and give me a license plate he had found at the Target on First Ave. I ran the plate and it came back inactive. 2430 Wild Dunes Dr. is the address it came back to. A County car checked the address and the car was not there. Turned it in as found property. LW 1518991 Smith, Virginia Ann (W F, 46) VICTIM of Theft All Other < $750 (C), at 3900 N NUSSMEIER, T. S. Theft All Other < Fulton Ave, Evansville, IN, between 17:00, 08/27/2015 and 18:00, 08/27/2015. $750 Reported: 08/28/2015. Virginia smith states that last night her daughter Megan came over to her apartment with her boyfriend Coffman, and while she was in the other room she took the listed prescription medicine from her purse. David Smith is Meagan`s dad and Virginia`s ex-husband, Megan lives with him. Mary Martin is David`s girlfriend and stated that she heard Megan state that she took the pills from Virginia`s house. LW 1518999 Mattox, Jenny (W F, 37) VICTIM of Battery - Public Safety Official (C), at 600 Mary HOOVER, B. M. Battery - Public St, Evansville, IN, between 07:30, 08/28/2015 and 07:30, 08/28/2015. Reported: Safety Official 08/28/2015. On 08-28-2015, Jenkins was a patient on Unit 3900 at Deaconess Hospital. At approximately 0730 hours, Jenkins became agitated, and ran from his room into another patients room, and started to slam his head against glass windows, attempting to break them. The victim, was attempting to stop Jenkins from hurting himself or others, and Jenkins ran into the victim lowering his head into her stomach area. The victim complained of pains in her stomach area, where she was struck by Jenkins. Jenkins ran out of unit 3900, and into the lobby/waiting area. Jenkins then attempted to jump through a floor length window in the waiting area. The window was cracked in several places due to Jenkins actions. The damage is estimated to be in excess of $750. Jenkins was restrained by Wolf and security in the hallway before my arrival. Jenkins was placed into restraints and returned to his patient room for further medical treatment. The victim stated that she did not wish to pursue charges for the battery at this time, and that she felt Jenkins was only attempting to get away.

McNary realized she left it inside by the time she returned a white male (suspect) had picked the wallet up and left the store. The wallet contained the listed items. LW 1519008 Barrett, Nancy Lucille (W F, 74) VICTIM of Criminal Mischief To Veh [bm] (C), at SMITH, K. E. Criminal Mischief 1014 N Fourth Ave, Evansville, IN, between 01:00, 08/28/2015 and 10:00, To Veh [bm] 08/28/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. I was stopped at the corner of Fourth/Oregon while on patrol in reference to a criminal mischief report to a vehicle. The victim, Nancy Barrett, said sometime between 0100 hours on 082815 and 1000 hours same date someone broke out the rear door window on the driver`s side. Barrett said she does not notice anything to be missing at this time. Barrett`s vehicle was parked on the street in front of her residence. No suspect information at this time. LW 1519017 Connors, Laura Allyn (W F, 37) VICTIM of Traffic-accident Hit&run /prop [bm] (C), HUDDLESTON, S. Traffic-accident at 1800 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN, between 07:40, 08/28/2015 and 11:05, Hit&run /prop 08/28/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. [bm] Conners had parked her Toyota van properly in a parking space in the lot on Frederick behind the tennis courts on the UE campus. Conners van did not have damage when Conners went in to work at UE. When Conners came out to leave for the day, there was damage on the passenger side of the van. The van has damage to the sliding door and rear quarter panel and bumper. The hit and run suspect left her information on a note on Conners van. The suspect drives a red 2003 Suzuki Areo. Conners called the suspect, Webb, and Webb told Conners that she had to go to work and did not want to stay. Buildings Reported: 08/28/2015. The victim said that over the last several months he has had building materials and tools stolen from his house and garage at the listed address. Damage To Evansville, IN, between 10:20, 08/28/2015 and 10:30, 08/28/2015. Reported: Building 08/28/2015. The two witnesses reported hearing a loud impact to the window of the office. When we went outside we observed damage to the aluminum window frame consisting of a significant dent and missing paint. Battery - Class B 2615 Edgewood Dr, Evansville, IN, between 12:40, 08/28/2015 and 12:58, Misdemeanor 08/28/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. [bm] Victim and offender got into an altercation. The offender struck the victim 2 times on top of the head while inside the residence and then left the scene. There were no visible injuries to the victim. Case # Description (A)ttempted, (C)ompleted, (F)elony, (M)isdemeanor Officer her former boyfriend in the area of Hawthorne/Riverside on 08/27/15 around 1200hrs to discuss auto repair. Burns stated he was going to replace her fuel pump so she gave him the keys to the van and she also let him borrow her cell phone since he did not have one.

Burns stated several hours went by and she never heard from the suspect about her van so she called him several times inquiring about her vehicle and the suspect stated he did not know who she was and hung up on her. Burns stated she never filed a stolen vehicle report because she wanted to give the suspect a chance to return her van and cell phone but failed to do both.

Burns stated on today`s date she began walking the area the suspect is know to hang out around and located her vehicle in front of 201 W Iowa with a busted steering column.

I contacted crime scene to take photos.

Burns was given a case number and advised to pursue charges with the prosecutor`s office.

LW 1519039 Jones, Brandie Lee (W F, 36) VICTIM of Burglary Of A Dwelling (C), at 2125 CAMPBELL, K. A. Burglary Of A Sweetser Ave, Evansville, IN, between 07:30, 08/28/2015 and 15:03, 08/28/2015. Dwelling Reported: 08/28/2015. The victim stated that someone broke into her home while she was away, and took the listed items from inside without her permission.

LW 1519044 Martin, Jasmine Rose (W F, 20) VICTIM of Theft All Other (C), at 2205 Dr, CAMPBELL, K. A. Theft All Other Evansville, IN, between 10:00, 08/25/2015 and 14:00, 08/28/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. The victim stated that someone took the listed items from her room, without her permision, while she was away. LW 1519042 Mandujand-alcatar, Lourdes (F, 51) VICTIM of Theft All Other < $750 (C), at 101 WOLF, D. C. Theft All Other < N Green River Rd, Evansville, IN, between 18:00, 08/24/2015 and 15:50, 08/28/2015. $750 Reported: 08/28/2015. Officers met with Loss Prevention of a local retail store who was with the victim of a theft. The victim`s friend was also with her. Loss Prevention told officers that earlier this week the victim left her purse in the store. Loss Prevention stated that an unknown male and female were seen on video taking the purse and rummaging through it. Loss prevention found the purse in the store`s dumpster. The victim told officers that money and sunglasses were missing from the purse.

Theft All Other Rd, Evansville, IN, between 16:00, 06/20/2015 and 16:00, 07/24/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. Officer was dispatched to 1501 S. Burkhardt for a theft report. Officer arrived on scene and was greeted by the reporter, a Mr. Jason Heilman.

Mr. Heilman stated sometime over the last two months at or around June 20, 2015 to July 24, 2015 he noticed that his fathers vehicle, motor cycle and tools had been stolen. Mr. Heilman stated he is not sure why he didn`t`t report it when he noticed it but that he felt compelled to report it today.

Mr. Heilman stated both his parents are deceased and that he is trying to get the estate and property in his name.

Officer Reed checked with several neighbors and spoke with the neighbor at 1516 S. Burkhardt. Mr. Richard Russelburg stated that around 4-6 months ago he noticed a flat bed black tow truck that had lights on top of it in the drive way of 1501. Mr. Russelburg stated he watched as the tow truck towed a convertible vehicle from the property. Mr. Russelburg was unsure of the time of day the vehicle was towed.

On 8-23-2015, Officer Reed was dispatched to 1501 S. Burkhardt for a residential burglary in progress. Officer Reed did find a white male inside the garage who stated he was given permission from a person owning the property to take items from the garage. Officer Reed attempted to contact any number associated to the address but was not successful. A field contact was completed on the male found in the garage.

LW 1519050 Pressley, Barton Mnu (W M, 46) VICTIM of Theft From Motor Vehicle < $750 (C), LEWIS, J. L. Theft From Motor at 260 N Green River Rd, Evansville, IN, between 00:00, 08/15/2015 and 16:37, Vehicle < $750 08/28/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. The victim advised that he left his medication inside his vehicle while it was being worked on by the business. When the victim went to pick up is vehicle, a majority of his medication was missing. LW 1519053 Klingelhoefer, Brian Paul (W M, 55) VICTIM of Burglary Of A Dwelling (C), at 109 SMITH, P. M. Burglary Of A W St, Evansville, IN, between 16:17, 08/25/2015 and 16:17, 08/28/2015. Dwelling Reported: 08/28/2015. Officers were dispatched to a residential burglary report in the 100 block of W Michigan St. Officers arrived and met with the victim.The victim stated that he owns the home but uses the home for storage purposes. The victim advised that he was last at the residence approximately 3 days ago and everything was in tact.On today`s date the victim stated that he was notified by a neighbor that the back door to the home was open. The victim arrived and called authorities. The victim advised that several items in the home were either taken or vandalized. Officers took a detailed list of the stolen or damaged items and left the victim with a case number. There are no suspects at this time. LW 1519059 Weaver, Angela Jo (W F, 50) VICTIM of Criminal Mischief [bm] (C), at 1319 BREWER, J. W. Criminal Mischief Dr, Evansville, IN, between 12:00, 08/27/2015 and 16:59, 08/28/2015. [bm] Reported: 08/28/2015. Officers were dispatched to 1319 Genesta Drive in regards to a criminal mischief report. The victim, Angela Weaver, advised the offender had shot a bb gun at her home. The witness, Nicole Babb (Turner) told Weaver that she had seen the offender shoot the home. I observed a bb bullet hole in the front bedroom window to the home. There was an additional bb bullet hole in one of the garage windows. Weaver stated the offender had become intoxicated in the past and shot the bb gun in the neighborhood.

LW 1519063 Outlaw, Danielle Marie (B F, 23) VICTIM of Auto Theft- Automobiles (C), at 2609 WOLF, D. C. Auto Theft- Ravenswood Dr, Evansville, IN, between 17:43, 08/28/2015 and 17:45, 08/28/2015. Automobiles Reported: 08/28/2015. Officers met with the victim of an auto theft. The victim told officers that she had parked her car on the street outside of her mother`s house to pick up her children. The victim stated that someone stole her car while she was inside the house. LW 1519074 Iga Buy Low VICTIM of Theft Shoplifting < $750 (C), at 200 N Main St, Evansville, JONES, C. L. Theft Shoplifting < IN, on 08/28/2015, 20:34. Reported: 08/28/2015. $750 Officers Jones and Afifi were dispatched to IGA at 200 N Main St reference to a shoplifter. Dispatch advised that a black male wearing a black shirt left the store south bound after stealing some liquor.

Det. B Watson advised that he and Det T. Johnson had identified a black male white tshirt on the lot of Old National bank. As Officer Jones arrived at the store an employee was in the lot and said it was a white tshirt. The employee said that it was a white shirt with gray pants.

Det. Watson advised that was the description of the subject they had just ID`d and cut lose and he was running south on Main. Officer Donahue was working off-duty at McDonalds and stopped the suspect at Main and Indiana. He was identified as Jones. Jones had a 25 oz can of malt liquor on him when

LW 1519075 Tri-state Areo VICTIM of Traffic-accident Hit&run /prop [bm] (C), at 1 Nw Fourth St, ADAMS, H. D. Traffic-accident Evansville, IN, between 20:00, 08/28/2015 and 20:30, 08/28/2015. Reported: Hit&run /prop 08/28/2015. [bm] The reporter, Jennifer Buedel, said she was leaving downtown approaching John St. Jennifer said an unidentifed male driving a small black pickup drove up very fast in the turn lane she was trying to merge into. Jennifer said the truck collided with her vehicle, a company vehicle, belonging to the victim, Tri State Aero. Jennifer said the truck sped up onto the Lloyd Expy traveling east at a high rate of speed. LW 1519073 Basham, Joseph Edward (W M, 55) VICTIM of Theft Firearm (C), at 1400 Cody St, RASCHE, E. M. Theft Firearm Evansville, IN, between 00:00, 08/21/2015 and 20:31, 08/28/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. Officer was dispatched to 1400 Cody St. reference a theft report. On scene the VI (Joseph) stated he kept the listed firearm in a drawer besides his bed. He noticed on today`s date the listed pistol was missing. He is not sure how long it has been missing, but believes around one week. He could not find any paper work with the serial number, but was given the number to records and will call in when it is located. LW 1519076 Cissell, Jason Dwight (W M, 41) VICTIM of Battery-simple Assault Other [am] (C), BRASHER, B. J. Battery-simple at 1351 Hatfield Dr, Evansville, IN, between 22:09, 08/28/2015 and 22:13, Assault Other [am] 08/28/2015. Reported: 08/28/2015. Officers were dispatched to an assault in progress. On arrival the offender had left the apartment. We spoke with the victim who had been struck in the face. Two packs of cigarettes had also been stolen from his apartment by the offender. LW 1519080 Society VICTIM of Omvwi [cm] (C), at 3700 E Morgan Ave, Evansville, IN, on BUELTEL, D. C. Omvwi [cm] 08/29/2015, 00:10. Reported: 08/29/2015. Officers were conducting a Sobriety Checkpoint in the 3700 block of E Morgan Ave when the defendant, Taylor, was flagged into the primary chute for the checkpoint. Officer approached Taylor and could immediately smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. Taylor was advised she was stopped at a Sobriety Checkpoint and was asked if she had been drinking in which she replied she had been drinking at a party. Taylor was then instructed to pull around into a secondary inspection area for further investigation.

Battery - Weapon (C), at 632 Jackson Ave, Evansville, IN, between 00:30, 08/29/2015 and Committed W/ 00:32, 08/29/2015. Reported: 08/29/2015. Deadly Weapon Officers were dispatched to the 600 blk of Jackson ave in reference to a possible domestic violance in progress. The original female caller was not forth coming with information and advised Officers could figure it out when we got there. A second male caller called in and stated he had been cut by the mother of his

Officers arrived at the address and made contact with the caller outside of his residence. The victim stated his babies mother arrived at his house unnanounced and had entered through an unlocked exterior door. The two got into a verbal argument over her being in the house. The argument continued and the offender retrieved a box cutter. During the altercation, the offender cut the the victim with the box cutter on his left arm. The offender then gathered the children in the house and left the area in a vehicle.

Due to the nature of the incident and the injuries inflicted upon the victim, Crime Scene Detective Bourland and Detective Dickinson were called to the scene. The victim and witness were interviewed at the address. Officers were able to locate the weapon used on the victim inside the residence. Officers were also able to locate the offender at the address given by the victim. The suspect was subsequently arrested after being interviewed at EPD HQ`s.

LW 1519082 Golike, Ruth Ann (W F, 55) VICTIM of Burglary Of A Dwelling (C), at 2707 Vann BRASHER, B. J. Burglary Of A Ave, Evansville, IN, between 00:30, 08/29/2015 and 00:33, 08/29/2015. Reported: Dwelling 08/29/2015. Officers were dispatched to a residential burglary in progress. On arrival officers determined the back door had been kicked in. The house was cleared and officers spoke with the victim who stated the offender fled shortly after entering the residence. LW 1519084 Society VICTIM of Narc-poss Marijuana, Hash Oil, Hashish, < 30 G [am] (C), at 300 BETZ, D. J. Narc-poss S Green River Rd, Evansville, IN, between 01:00, 08/29/2015 and 01:05, 08/29/2015. Marijuana, Hash Reported: 08/29/2015. Oil, Hashish, < 30 I observed a red sport utility vehicle disregard a traffic signal at the intersection G [am] of Covert Ave and Green River Rd. I initiated a traffic stop of the red sport utility vehicle in the parking lot of 300 S Green River Rd (Circle K). The driver did not have a valid license and had an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Inside the vehicle I located a clear glass jar that contained a green leafy substance that was suspected marijuana. The driver admitted that the suspected marijuana was his. The driver was cited for possession of marijuana and disregarding the traffic signal. The driver was advised that he needed to get his warrant taken care of and he was released from the stop.
