Charity Auctions Module

Being the first celebrity management platform on the blockchain, TokenStars is excited to use the benefits of blockchain for a good cause. Blockchain ensures the transparency of donations and helps to increase the volume of proceeds, as well as enabling to track every transaction and see what path the donations took.

TokenStars approach to the crypto auctions At TokenStars we believe that we have done an important job for the development ​ ​ of the crypto charity market — the first TokenStars module, crypto auctions, was launched in 4Q of 2017. During this time, 24 auctions were held with the ​ ​ participation of top stars, who provided personal items for auctions, and the 100% of funds raised were sent to charities. A separate smart contract was launched for each lot, which allows you to track the history of bets.

Worldwide famous stars donated their items to the auction: original jerseys, tennis racquets, balls, ski gear and more, with personal signatures. Each item is unique and will be sold to the donor who places the highest bid (accepted in BTC, ETH and TokenStars ACE tokens).

All the money raised will go to nonprofit organisations all over the world, chosen by the celebrities. The list of charities includes FC Herzogenaurach Youth ​ ​ Development, Downside Up, Right to Play, and Laureus Sport for Good . ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​

One of the most notable auctions and at the same time the one with the highest bid was conducted together with Martina Hingis — one of the most famous tennis ​ ​ stars, the winner of US Open, , and Wimbledon. Martina signed her personal tennis t-shirt, worn at Wimbledon tournament, and it was sold for $987. ​ She transferred the whole amount to Right To Play organization which attempts to teach children in need with educational games.

Blockchain Auctions is the important module that will be used not only for charity purposes but also to connect stars with their fans, redeem exclusive items from the stars and generate income for the platform and user engagement on the regular basis. ACE and TEAM tokens are used as the key currency for transactions on the platform.
