Coquitlam, BC – Wynonna Judd first became famous as one-half of The Judds … one of the most successful country acts of the 80’s. Her mother, Naomi temporarily retired from the road at the end of 1991 paving the way for Wynonna’s passionate solo debut in 1992. The album, Wynonna sold over five million copies and led to three #1 hits: “She Is His Only Need”, “I Saw the Light” and “No One Else on Earth”. Released a year later, Tell Me Why was an equally successful album. She then toured with Clint Black to promote her album as well as their hit duet, “A Bad Goodbye”. Dropping her surname, the 1996 album, Revelations boasted the #1 hit, “To Be Loved by You.” In 2000, she released New Day Dawning followed by What the World Needs Now Is Love in 2003 … the album debuted at #1 and scored a Top 20 hit with the title track.
Wynonna’s 2005 autobiography, Coming Home To Myself shared her many struggles over adversity throughout her career. The book was a staple on the New York Times Best Seller list and served as a perfect companion piece to her autobiographical musical journey, Her Story: Scenes From A Lifetime … a double-live gold-plus certified CD and DVD which hit #2 on the Top Country Album charts. Her most recent album, Sing – Chapter 1 was released just last year and includes a collection of multi-genre standards from musical legends who have impacted her life including Merle Haggard, Bonnie Raitt and Tammy Wynette. Wynonna will be performing at Boulevard Casino’s Red Robinson Show Theatre in March, 2011.
