This bustling town – the administrative capital of – lies roughly halfway between and on the A92, which links directly to the M90 motorway. Travelling into Edinburgh or the airport is straightforward, with the only 21 miles drive to the south. Commuting to Dundee – just 26 miles away – and accessing other towns and cities is easy. The main East Coast rail link and the Fife Circle line serve nearby train stations.

The Glenrothes population, of almost 40,000, is well served by both primary and secondary schools, and is home to the Adam Smith College. St. Andrews University is only 24 miles away.

Local amenities include the Kingdom Centre, which offers a wide variety of shops under one roof, the town’s central library, ten pin bowling and the Rothes Halls, an outstanding entertainment and conference venue hosting drama, concerts, children’s shows and art exhibitions. There are two 18 hole golf courses in Glenrothes, and the Lomond Hills Regional Park fringes the town to the North and East. The beautiful Fife coastline is a short drive away.
