UEFA is staging the 3rd Elite Coaches’ Forum this week with the aim of allowing leading technicians in European football to exchange views and to make suggestions about the future of football in Europe.

As usual, the Elite Coaches’ Forum will take place at the Hotel Président Wilson in Geneva, starting at 09.00 on Thursday 30 August. The coaches who have confirmed their participation are: Co Adriaanse (AFC Ajax), (AS Roma), Héctor Cúper (Internazionale FC), Sir (Manchester United FC), (FC Bayern München), Gérard Houllier (Liverpool FC), Javier Irureta (Deportivo La Coruña), (Juventus FC), (Galatasaray SK), Octávio Machado (FC Porto), David O’Leary (Leeds United AFC), Carles Rexach (FC Barcelona), (Milan AC), Arsène Wenger (Arsenal FC) and (Real Madrid CF). Dr. Jozef Venglos, chairman of UEFA’s Football Development Committee, and UEFA’s Chief Executive Gerhard Aigner will host the coaches, and Technical Director Andy Roxburgh will chair the meeting.

Media representatives interested in the event are asked to take note of the following arrangements: v Photographers are invited to take a group photo of the participants before the Forum is opened – at 08.55 on Thursday v At the end of the Forum, a Press Conference will be held – at approximately 13.00 in the Hotel President Wilson v Requests by reporters to do one-to-one interviews with the coaches – during or after the Press Conference - must be sent to UEFA in advance, using the attached application form, no later than tomorrow, Wednesday, at noon.

The word ‘request’ is in bold lettering, as none of the coaches will be obliged to conduct interviews during their stay in Geneva. Requests will be submitted to them but, if they prefer not to be involved in media activities, their wishes will be fully respected.
