NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER (OTHER THAN AN ACQUISITION EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER) HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 119 COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2012 BRIDLEWAY 4 IN THE DISTRICT OF On 02 August 2012 Essex County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert a part length of Bridleway 4 in the Parish of Theydon Garnon in the District of Epping Forest commencing at a point south west of the property known as South Lodge (CM16 7QJ) at the junction of Street and the access road to Gaynes Park Mansions, proceeding in a south easterly direction across the aforementioned access road to the northern side of the field boundary fence and south of the hedge line for a distance of approximately 33 metres, to an alternative route 3 metres in width commencing approximately 10 metres southerly of the aforementioned point south west of South Lodge at the field boundary where it meets the carriageway verge, proceeding south easterly on the northern side of the field boundary fence and south of the hedge line for approximately 30 metres to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 4 Theydon Garnon as shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map have been placed in and may be seen free of charge at Council, Civic Offices, High Street, Epping, CM16 4BZ and at the Public Library, Market Road, Chelmsford CM1 1QH during normal working hours. Copies are available on request from the Chelmsford Library at a charge The alternative route comes into force on 31 August 2012, and the old route shall be stopped up with effect from 07 September 2012, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 23 August 2012 make an application to the High Court.
