Its population is concentrated in a number of medium size and small towns which have access to excellent schooling and educational facilities. Leisure pursuits, rural and urban are well catered for, and costs of living are low, with housing very competitively priced. Good transport links exist to nearby cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen which have international airports and Perth and Dundee which have large cultural and shopping centres. The Angus population in total is approximately 116,500 with an adult aged population of about 70,500. There are currently five General Adult Psychiatry Consultant Psychiatrists based within the Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) and the Inpatient Unit: Inpatient Consultant – covering approximately 20 inpatient beds on Mulberry Ward at the Carseview Centre, Dundee South Team post 1 covering Arbroath, Friockheim and Inverkeilor CMHT (Adult population 17,500) – this post South Team post 2 covering Arbroath, Carnoustie and Monifieth CMHT (Adult population 17,000) North West Team covering Forfar and Kirriemuir (Adult population 19,000) North East Team covering Montrose, Brechin and Edzell (Adult population 17,000) The sector alignment brings team boundaries in line with Angus Health and Social Care Integration Partnership (HSCP) planning structures. These localities cover clearly identified GP practices and the HSCP approach is to try to align GP practice populations with geographical boundaries. The Adult Mental Health Service has been fully integrated between the NHS and Angus Council Social Work department for 20 years, and has excellent links with patients, carers and community based organisations including Penumbra, Richmond Fellowship, Outside the Box and Volunteer Centre Angus. In-patient services are at Carseview Centre, Dundee which currently has 64 beds, 20 of which are for Angus acute general adult psychiatry inpatients, although a flexible approach is adopted regarding bed use across Tayside to improve capacity and flow. The staffing levels are structured in response to clinical demands and include medical, nursing, social work, psychology, occupational therapy, support worker and administrative staff. The teams have access to 20 inpatient beds at Carseview, Dundee (some of these may occasionally be used for rehabilitation or continuing care patients as their needs require). The beds are used according to need rather than having a fixed number per team and each team provides medical care for its own patients when the Inpatient Consultant is on leave. Old-age psychiatry is also provided by community teams, and there are assessment and treatment beds at Stracathro Hospital in addition to community beds. There are Tayside area services available for Psychotherapy, Intensive Psychiatric Care, Forensic Psychiatry, Rehabilitation Psychiatry, Learning Disabilities Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Substance Misuse Services, Eating Disorders, Health Psychology and Advanced Interventions. Putting Quality, Into Life LEISURE & SPORT ANNUAL REPORT 2011 - 2012 Leisure and Culture Dundee's Leisure and Sport Service was a new addition to the physical activity sector in Dundee during 2011/12. However, it was a re-constitution of some very well known "players" from within the City: Dundee Leisure; Sports Development; Camperdown and Caird Park Golf Courses; and Camperdown Wildlife Centre. Each of the Leisure and Sport sections continued to provided services which were well used and positively contributed to the lives of residents, local communities and the City as a whole. International events were hosted in our facilities and local athletes were supported by Sports Development to perform on the international stage. The Wildlife Centre attracted more people than ever before and golf, again, proved to be one of the most popular activities to be played by Dundonians. The new Olympia Leisure Centre began to take shape as the iconic design became more visible throughout the year and the well loved existing Olympia was not to be out-done with a very strong performance despite the mountain of road and building works on its doorstep. 2011/12 was a good start for Leisure and Sport. The forthcoming challenges, however, will not be underestimated and with the building-blocks of further success, of extending the reach of sport and leisure, of tackling inequality and of making Dundee a healthier, more active city all within this service, the future is very bright. • National System for Sexual Health (Nash)
National System for Sexual Health (NaSH) Protecting your Personal Information How do you protect my personal information? NHS Scotland cares about your personal data and it’s important that you know how we use it and keep it safe. We use a computer system, just for sexual health clinics in Scotland, called ‘NaSH’. You may be asked to complete a registration form so we can create an electronic record using your personal details. Some people will register directly through our on-line booking site. We prefer to download your name and address details electronically, using your NHS Scotland number (CHI number), as this saves time and reduces errors. The registration form will record your permission to use CHI. You can also choose to use an assumed (‘made-up’) name and not use your CHI number but please be aware that we would not be able to refer you for any x-ray investigations or communicate with your GP or other health professional under an assumed name. You will be given a sexual health clinic number called a ‘NaSH number’ which starts with ‘AN’ (e.g. AN012345678). Please keep this number safe as it may be required to access your test results. You can use this number to access care in any specialist sexual health clinic in NHS Scotland. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only process personal confidential data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. Who can access the NaSH system and my personal information? The NaSH system can only be accessed by staff working under the oversight of specialist sexual health and HIV services in Scotland who have a legal duty to keep information about you confidential.

Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Perth Royal Infirmary Information Pack Closing date: 21 November 2019 Reference: AR.25.19 Welcome from Grant Archibald, Chief Executive, NHS Tayside Thank you for your interest in this post. As you’ll see we have put together some information on this site both about NHS Tayside and where we are located in Scotland. I hope that you find this useful and that you translate your interest in this post into a formal application. NHS Tayside has a strong track record in delivering high-quality, safe and effective care for all our patients. However, like other NHS Boards across Scotland, NHS Tayside is facing significant challenges including growing demand for all services, workforce challenges that are impacting upon how we deliver services and continuing pressures on our finances. In response to these challenges, NHS Tayside has embarked up on a programme of transformation to ensure that services are safe, affordable and, importantly, sustainable for the future. Transforming Tayside aims to deliver Better Health, Better Care, Better Workplace and Better Value for the population of Tayside. The programme is clinically-led and is being delivered in partnership with our staff and trades unions and our local health and social care partnerships. It is structured to respond to issues and make changes to services in the short to medium-term, as well as presenting an ambitious vision of transformation for Tayside in the longer term. It will provide clear and credible choices for transforming the future of local healthcare. A new, innovative leadership model for clinical directorates is now in place to drive the changes necessary in health and social care across the whole system.
