Performance Calendar for Fall 2012 Occasionally it is necessary to change the date/time of a scheduled concert. If you are traveling a distance, you may call the Department of Music Office at 978-934-3850, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm to be sure a particular concert is as scheduled. Admission is free (unless noted) and open to the community. Durgin Hall is located at 35 Wilder Street, Lowell; Durgin Concert Hall is located on the first floor and Fisher Recital Hall is on the lower level.

Monday November 19 Howard Levy and Chris Siebold Concert Concert Hall 7:30 P.M. Howard Levy is a world-renowned pianist and harmonica virtuoso. He is a founding member of the Flecktones and won the Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition in 2012 with Bela Fleck for their co-written Life in Eleven. Chris Seibold is a multifaceted musician and educator who plays in many styles and with many different ensembles in the Chicago area. Sunday December 9 Contemporary Electronic Ensemble Concert Concert Hall Michael Testa, Director 7:30 P.M. Pre-concert “Tech Talk” at 7:00 P.M. The CEE explores the electronic production and manipulation of music in a live ensemble setting. Students incorporate synthesis, signal processing, sampling, and various control surfaces (instruments) into a unique musical framework.
