The Construction Industry Council (CIC) cordially invites you to attend its annual conference – CIC Conference 2013: "Construction Innovation: Productivity and Technology." Due to the on-going Ten Major Infrastructure Projects and large-scale construction projects in Hong Kong recently, this one-day flag ship event for Hong Kong’s construction industry will focus on how innovation and the adoption of new technology will help to enhance productivity and boost the rapid development in the construction industry.
Building Information Modelling (BIM), the key topic of the conference, is revolutionising the way the construction industry works. Currently Hong Kong is lagging behind many developed countries in the adoption of this technology and this year’s CIC Conference aims to raise greater awareness of this important technology to improve the productivity of the Hong Kong construction industry.
Secretary for Development, Mr. Paul CHAN, and Secretary for Transport and Housing, Prof. Anthony CHEUNG Bing-leung will deliver a keynote speech during the conference. In addition, overseas experts including representatives from Stanford University, BCA Academy in Singapore and construction institutes in the UK and Australia will share their experience and views at the conference. The event is co-organised by the Development Bureau and the Hong Kong Housing Authority.
In addition, Mr. LEE Shing-see, Chairman of the CIC will be pleased to meet with all media during 10:40a.m. to 11:10 a.m. to share his thoughts on how information technology enhances productivity of the Construction Industry. All media are welcome for pre-registration.
