DEFAULTS Defaults are not acceptable except in extreme circumstances. Where they are unavoidable, the opposing school must be notified in plenty of time to advise students and cancel bus arrangements, etc. Indoor Football is played mostly in schools gyms with a few at commercially-operated venues. These venues have been booked for all the games as listed in the draw. It is essential that the defaulting school notifies the venue at least twenty-four hours prior to the scheduled time for the game.

For late defaults (on the day of the game) or if a team does not turn up for its game, the school is responsible for the cost of the hire of the venue and the employment of the umpire for that game - $56.00.

Teams which default, in addition to notifying opponents and any venues if applicable, are required to advise the Sports Director’s Office that the team defaulting is capable of continuing in the competition in subsequent weeks. A simple explanation on the weekly results sheet sent in by schools will suffice (e.g., team members ill). Teams which default in one week will not be included in draws for the following week(s) until such an explanation is received. Their status will be indicated by “n/i – default” in subsequent draws information.
