If you’ve ever wanted to explore , here is the perfect way to do it! 59 nights, 35 key historical sites with a maximum of just 120 guests aboard Coral Expeditions’ Coral Adventurer!

2020 is the 250th anniversary of Captain Cook’s landing, the 200th anniversary of Philip Parker King’s explorations and the 35th anniversary of Coral Expeditions. This is a fantastic way to see the coast the way that mariners throughout history have seen it! An Australian-owned company with an Australian crew – what better way to explore this incredible country? This unique itinerary has been designed by Coral Expeditions’ Senior Master Gary Wilson as a celebration of history, culture, nature and Australian Maritime history. Using Xplorer tenders, you’ll have the opportunity to explore hard-to-reach locations of historic significance or natural beauty. You’ll also visit famous places and share stories of historic maritime events that shaped Australia from ancient times to early explorers and more modern wartime. Immerse yourself in the arts and cultures of the people and communities of Australia, take a breath-taking coastal walk, snorkel the reef, share amazing wildlife encounters or just take in the scenery! Throughout the cruise, you’ll have an experienced Expedition Team, offering insights, knowledge and expertise, along with guest lecturers and special guests.. Their commentary and skill at storytelling will immerse you in the culture, history and nature of the Australian coastline. Departing from Darwin, you’ll navigate the coast of Western Australia calling in areas such as Cygnet Bay, Depuch Island, Montebello Islands and Fremantle to name just some. You’ll duck into coves the larger ships can’t get to and, due to the small size of the ship, if there’s something special to see or happening, your captain can turn the ship around for a better look or alter the itinerary accordingly. Once you leave Fremantle, you’ll continue around the southern coast via Albany, the Archipelago of the Recherche, Head of Bight, Whyalla and Port Adelaide. An overnight visit to the gorgeous Kangaroo Island will allow you to explore this amazing island and meet some of the wildlife! Continue on past the 12 Apostles, Half Moon Bay, King Island and over to Tasmania. Looping around the bottom of Tasmania, you can’t help but admire the spectacular scenery here with rocky peninsulas, beautiful bush walks and spectacular bays. Next, it’s on to and up the East Coast to Hervey Bay and Fraser Island before exploring the . Arriving in Cairns, you’ll have a Christmas Day unlike any other! Breakfast, followed by champagne and carols on a private flight to Uluru, an afternoon cultural tour, sunset drinks on the dunes followed by an unforgettable Christmas Dinner at the famed “Sounds of Silence” experience! The last week of your incredible voyage is spent exploring the Endeavour Reef, Cooktown, Restoration Island, Cape York, Cape Arnhem and Wessel Islands before arriving back into Darwin 05 January 2021. (Please see itinerary details for full list of ports of call). Call us for full details.

Coral Expeditions

A 35-year-old Australian pioneering expedition cruise company, Coral Expeditions operate and manage a fleet of four small expedition ships taking guests to some of the most beautiful, yet undiscovered, regions of Australia, Asia-Pacific and Indian Ocean Islands. Over 8,000 travellers from all over the world travel with Coral Expeditions every year who are attracted by the relaxed small ship atmosphere and itineraries which larger ships cannot replicate. The bespoke operations may sometimes not be commercially justifiable but result in a more personal product that guests appreciate. At a time when the cruise industry is moving to larger and less personal ships, Coral Expeditions has limited the size of their ships to maximise the expedition experience. Their small-batch cuisine is freshly prepared onboard with a simplistic and generous approach to quality and freshness, accompanied by quality Australian wine. Coral Expeditions operate to high Australian standards of safety with Australian crew wherever they go. They were the first to offer interpretive programs reflective of the destinations they visit and to employ Expedition Leaders, Guest Lecturers, Marine Biologists, and SCUBA Instructors – a tradition that continues today.
