Se identificaron 16 especies pertenecientes a 10 géneros, además de la primera cita íbero-balear de una quimera bioperculada (Ten Hove & Ben-Eliahu, 2005) de la especie Hydroides norvegicus Gunnerus, 1768. En cuanto a la revisión del catálogo se mencionan 65 especies, actuali- zando el nombre de 20 de ellas y añadiendo cinco especies ausentes en el catálogo de Ariño (1987): Hydroides stoichadon Zibrowius, 1971, Laeospira corallinae (de Silva & Knight-Jones, 1962), Serpula cavernicola Fassari & Mòllica, 1991, Spirobranchus lima (Grube, 1862) y Spirorbis inornatus L’Hardy & Quièvreux, 1962. Se cita por primera vez Vermiliopsis monodiscus Zibrowius, 1968 en el Atlántico ibérico y a partir de la bibliografía consultada, se muestra la expansión en la distribución íbero-balear -

1 Economy, magic and the politics of religious change in pre-modern Scandinavia Hugh Atkinson Department of Scandinavian Studies University College London Thesis submitted for the degree of PhD 28th May 2020 I, Hugh Atkinson, confirm that the work presented in this thesis is my own. Where information has been derived from other sources, I confirm that these sources have been acknowledged in the thesis. 2 Abstract This dissertation undertook to investigate the social and religious dynamic at play in processes of religious conversion within two cultures, the Sámi and the Scandinavian (Norse). More specifically, it examined some particular forces bearing upon this process, forces originating from within the cultures in question, working, it is argued, to dispute, disrupt and thereby counteract the pressures placed upon these indigenous communities by the missionary campaigns each was subjected to. The two spheres of dispute or ambivalence towards the abandonment of indigenous religion and the adoption of the religion of the colonial institution (the Church) which were examined were: economic activity perceived as unsustainable without the 'safety net' of having recourse to appeal to supernatural powers to intervene when the economic affairs of the community suffered crisis; and the inheritance of ancestral tradition. Within the indigenous religious tradition of the Sámi communities selected as comparanda for the purposes of the study, ancestral tradition was embodied, articulated and transmitted by particular supernatural entities, personal guardian spirits. Intervention in economic affairs fell within the remit of these spirits, along with others, which may be characterized as guardian spirits of localities, and guardian spirits of particular groups of game animals (such as wild reindeer, fish). - 
												
												Gerhard Schøning and the Cathedral of Trondheim
Making Facts from Stones: Gerhard Schøning and the Anne Eriksen Cathedral of Trondheim In 1762, the historian and antiquary Gerhard Schøning published a large work on the Cathedral of Trondheim, Beskrivelse over Dom-Kirken i Trondheim (Description of the Cathedral of Trondheim). Originally the shrine of Norway’s patron saint and christening king, Saint Olav (d. 1033), the building had suffered severe damage and decay since the Reformation and Norway’s subordination to Denmark in 1537. As both a pilgrims’ destination and a monument to Norwegian independ- ence, it was an elementum non gratum in the Protestant Danish kingdom, of which Norway was now a part. In the eighteenth century, large parts of the medieval structure lay in ruins. Schøning’s explicit aim with his work was to show the ancient glory of the cathedral—and implicitly of the nation. He is lavish in his praise, and quotes earlier authors who claim that the building once was without equal in all Christendom.1 Nevertheless, he is also critical of these older texts, not least when they interpret the cathedral’s decay in religious terms rather than describing what could actually be seen. Schøning wants to set the record straight and provide more precise information. The thorough and meticulous work gained Schøning a still lasting scholarly reputation. Not only is the book used as a historical source, it is still reckoned a valuable scholarly work on the cathedral. Its scholarship is easily recognised and the text is accessible even to present-day readers. The method appears rational, the disposition is logical, the information seems exact and the interpretations are empirically well grounded. -

E. Gunnerus contributed substantially to the study of natural science. Less known is his contribution to the study of contemporary Norwegian language. Even if restricted in scope his contribution to the study of Norwegian dialect words deserves attention. A collection of dialect words preserved in the University Library of Trondheim, the Gunnerus Library, was not published till 1980 – a piece of work inspired, as pointed to in the present contribution, both by physico-theological ideas and work in the same field by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Key words: J.E.Gunnerus, dialect words, physico-theology, G.W.Leibniz. We often hear about bishop J. E. Gunnerus as a natural scientist – a botanist and a zoologist in particular. To what extent, we may well ask, did Gunnerus contribute to the study of the vernacular Norwegian language? The short answer to those questions is that he did contribute, even if not extensively, and, yes, he seems to have seen it worth while spending time on studying the language spoken in his bishopric. The important point to note is that he took an interest in language as such, an interest that should, I think, be seen both in the context of the general scholarly paradigm within which he worked as a natural scientist – and in the context of the modest contemporary work conducted in the field of language studies in Norway, contemporary with his own work, that is. -
