Chapter 15 Oracle against v. 1-3 Moab shall be laid waste. v. 5-9 The people of Moab would become refugees.

Chapter 16 Oracle against Moab continued. v. 5 Messiah shall come and judge. v. 14 Within 3 years Judgement will come. ( in 732 BC)

Chapter 17 Oracle Against Damascus Note: The “burden of Damascus” actually includes the Northern Kingdom of v. 1-4 Damascus and Israel will both suffer together. Ephraim is the Northern Kingdom of Israel. v. 7 A redemptive future prophesied. v. 12-14 May give a look toward Armageddon and the end of days.

Chapter 18 Oracle Against . v. 1-6 Ethiopians sent an offer of support against Assyria, but Isaiah said no. v. 7 The Nations will ultimately come and pay tribute to the God of Israel.

Chapter 19 Oracle Against . v. 1-4 Egypt would come under God’s Judgement. v. 5-15 The will be dried up. v. 16 - 17 The Lord’s redemptive future plans for Egypt and Assyria. v. 18-25 Five cities in Egypt will turn to Yahweh and speak Hebrew. (See Isa 27:12)

Chapter 20 Unusual prophetic act during Assyrian invasion. v. 1 - 4 Isaiah told to walk naked and barefoot as a sign of what will happen.

Chapter 21 ’s (the Desert of the Sea) Fall to Persia. v. 1 - 9 The prophesy about Babylon’s fall 150-200 years in the future, then again.. v. 9b. Babylon is fallen, is fallen... Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city,.. KJV Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit,.. KJV

Chapter 22 The Judgement of . v. 1-8 The burden of the valley of vision. v. 9-10 The City of and are explicitly mentioned. v. 20 - 25 Eliakim is messianic type and foreshadowing of Christ.

Chapter 23 The Judgement of Tyre. Note: Alexander the Great conquered Tyre in 332 BC. Note: -27 are known collectively as “Isaiah’s Apocalypse.”

Chapter 24 The Earth is judged. (Isaiah’s Apocalypse Chap. 24-27) v.1-6 Universal Judgement, like Matthew 24 and 25. v. 18b-20 Major, cataclysmic earthquakes. (See Matt 24:7) v. 21-22 May refer to judgments that will be poured out on Satan and his angels. v. 23 The moon and sun shall be darkened before the “ancients” Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven,.. KJV

Chapter 25 The redeemed will praise Yahweh. v. 1-5 Praise for Isaiah’s God. v. 6-7 The veil will be lifted off of All Nations. v. 8-9 God will swallow up death and time, as we know it, ends. Rev. 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death,..for the former things are passed away. KJV

Chapter 26 The apocalypse continues. v. 1-4 Another Song of Praise. v. 19 The Resurrection of the Dead. v. 21 God’s Final Judgement on the earth.

Chapter 27 The Day of the Lord. v. 1 God’s Judgement on Leviathan/the Dragon. v. 6 “In that Day,” Israel shall fill the world with fruit. v. 12-13 Egypt and Assyria (Iran) shall worship God. (See NIV)

Chapter 28 Ephraim/Israel shall be judged, but one day restored. v. 9 Who shall God teach wisdom? v. 11 Is quoted by Paul in 1 Cor 14:21-22 as referring to the gift of Tongues. v. 16 A clear messianic prophecy, quoted extensively in the New Testament.

Chapter 29 Ariel, Ariel, Hearthstone of God. v. 1-3 Ariel is Jerusalem and God is prophesying a coming Judgement. v. 4 The voices of the dead will whisper from the dust. Isa 29:4 Brought low, you will speak from the ground; your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will come ghostlike from the earth; out of the dust your speech will whisper. NIV v. 6-8 All the Nations who fight against Israel shall remain only in their dreams. v. 10-11 For a season, the revelation of the Messiah will be hidden from Israel. v. 18-19 Jesus alluded to these verses to John the Baptist about Himself. v. 22-24 Israel will yet be redeemed in the timing of the Lord.
