The demolition traineeships arose after McMahon Services partnered with Renewal SA’s Works Program to deliver a demolition pre-employment program aligned to the Central Zone demolition program. The delivery of this program went above and beyond McMahon Services’ contracted commitment for work experience and employment opportunities and delivered training for 13 young people, eight of whom were then selected to continue traineeships with McMahon Services. The trainees recently completed their final Certificate III module and are set to graduate from their training in the new year. SUPPORTING OPERATION FLINDERS Renewal SA is committed to ensuring that surplus equipment and materials from the former Royal Adelaide Hospital are donated or recycled wherever possible.
