From the Principal Beyond the Boundary of the imPOSSIBLE! With grateful hearts, we look up in awe and wonder at the God of the Impossible for making possible a Platinum, to proudly prance past in the timeline of College Lady Doak! After a 70-year focus on a wholistic education that meets the needs of young women, in a structured environment, we now need to go beyond and develop uncharted territory to achieve sustainable goals and to make a lasting positive difference in the community. Consistent with the vision and values of the founder Miss Katie Wilcox, to reach out and render service, the college strives to take learning to the truly rural. As the pulse of India lies in the villages, we are bound by love to cater to the ‘whole-person’ (intellectual, moral, social and spiritual) needs of the rural women in and around our satellite campus. It is our desire to develop these women to take on the challenges of a global world right where they are and enhance their opportunities for an alternative livelihood through a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. What better way can there be to celebrate the rural community than to offer them the gift of holistic education – the kind that Lady Doak College has learnt to excel in? Though at present, it looks like an impossible dream, we walk in faith as befits our tradition, to carry our rich legacy into the future, as a blessing for generations to come. Our vision is to carry the mission of education to women from all strata of society so that, with courage in their heart and confidence in their stride, they will step into the global arena with dignity, honour and integrity.
