Itinerary Day-by-Day

Day 1

Arrival into Glasgow Airport and transfer to accommodation. Golf is optional depending on arrival time.

Turnberry Resort - Ailsa Course (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) The Ailsa course at Turnberry is spectacular, sitting on a perfect piece of links land with the water providing a perfect backdrop. Home to a number of memorable Open Championships, the course has been remodelled providing even more challenge.

Prestwick Golf Club (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) Prestwick Golf Club is situated just half an hour south west of Glasgow on the famous golfing Ayrshire coast. A stretch of land unequalled anywhere in the world for prime golfing terrain.

Day 3

Royal Troon Golf Club - Old Course (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) Royal Troon's Old Course is regarded as one of the great links courses in Scotland. It is a challenging test of golfing ability with the wind to contend with, and deep rough interspersed with gorse and broom.

Marine Hotel & Spa The Marine Hotel & Spa is at the heart of the East Lothian golfing coast, the hotel overlooks the 16th green of North Berwick's Championship West Links course, which threads along the edge of the Forth of Firth.

Day 4

Muirfield (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) Muirfield is the home of The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers whose records date back to 1744. Muirfield Golf Course is simply unique with many memories of Open Championships and possessing some of the most memorable holes in golf, Muirfield Golf Course will captivate any player.

Day 5

Gullane Golf Club - No. 1 Course (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) The eighteen holes of Gullane No.1 Course were established in 1884. The well maintained greens, links grasses, numerous bunkers and sea breezes make a unique challenge for the serious golfer.

North Berwick Golf Club (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) North Berwick Golf Club provides a perfect blend of tradition, hospitality and a unique golfing challenge. The course is a true Links, starting in the town centre and stretching west along the shores of the Firth of Forth.

Day 6

St Andrews Links - Old Course (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) The Old Course at St Andrews is a must for all avid golfers, who should make the pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. This is where it all started, the undoubted Home of Golf.

Fairmont St Andrews Since opening in the spring of 2001, Fairmont St Andrews has become renowned for its luxury and providing an excellent standard of service.

Day 7

Kingsbarns Golf Links (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) While its golf origins date back to 1793, the multi-award-winning Kingsbarns Golf Links only opened in the summer of 2000. It immediately established itself as one of the world's must-play links courses and is currently ranked 65th on Golf Magazines Top 100 World list.

Fairmont St Andrews Since opening in the spring of 2001, Fairmont St Andrews has become renowned for its luxury and providing an excellent standard of service.

Day 8

Gleneagles - Kings Course (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) The King's Course, opened in 1919, has tested the aristocracy of golf, both professional and amateur. James Braid's plan for the King's Course was to test even the best players' shot-making skills over the eighteen holes. When they play the King's the world's greatest golfers admire the cunning and craft with which he achieved that goal.

Carnoustie Golf Links - Championship Course (18 holes of golf with pull buggy) Golf has been played over the links at Carnoustie Golf Links since the 1500s, but the present course came into being in 1850 when it was designed by Alan Robertson of St Andrews. It has had some modificiations since then, however since 1937 it has remained untouched. Carnoustie provides the same challenge for the modern golfer that confronted players nearly 70 years ago.

Royal Troon Golf Club - Portland Course

Although a links course, the Portland is a little more sheltered than the Old Course and, of course, shorter. The holes meander through terrain filled with gorse and broom and has a generous helping of Par 3's, five in all. This is tempered however, with four Par 5's, all of which are on the back nine.
