WOMEN’S TEA-TIME-TIKKUN

On the second day of Yom Tov, Na’amah Roselaar will give a shiur on “Who was Chuldah? A Forgotten Prophetess” at 5 pm at the home of Lucinda & Martin Glasser – 21 west Avenue, NW4 2LL.

TENTH ANNIVERSARY GALA DINNER

Dr Shira Weiss will be our Scholar-in-Residence on Shabbat 6th June. Dr Weiss is the Assistant Principal at Frisch School in New Jersey and an Adjunct Professor of Jewish Philosophy at Stern College (YU). She is a graduate of University and and has lectured and published extensively on Jewish Philosphy. More details to follow.

LEARNING AND SHIURIM

 Drasha on Shabbat morning will be given by Rav Doron Podlashuk, Mizrachi UK Scholar-in-Residence.  Rabbi Roselaar's Shabbat afternoon shiur takes place between Mincha and Ma'ariv and will be the final shiur on Massechet Ketubot: “The 3 Oaths and the Legitimacy of Medinat Yisrael”  Rabbi Roselaar will give a Rav Aharon Lichtenstein Memorial Shiur between Mincha & Ma’ariv on the second day of Yom Tov.  Rabbi Roselaar’s Tuesday night shiur on the responsa literature of the acharonim and how halachah responds to modernity continues this Tuesday at 9pm in the shul.

CHILDREN’S SERVICES

We have two children’s services every Shabbat morning at Alei Tzion:  Younger children’s service for new-borns to age 4 at 10:50 - 11:15am. Includes songs, davening and Kiddush.  Older children’s service for ages 4-11 at 10:40 - 11:15am. Includes an introduction to Shabbat davening, games, parsha, quiz with the Rav and Kiddush.
