• Collaboration between Action in Caerau and Ely, Cardiff University, local schools community groups and others • Focuses on Caerau Hillfort, surrounded by Caerau and Ely, two of the most deprived wards in Wales • Activities have included geophysics, excavations, artefact analyses, exhibitions, art installations, films, performances, accredited courses and experimental archaeology

• Group development and activities during Covid 19 pandemic, including excavation of a double ditched Bronze Age entrenchment at Lady Graves, land at Westfield Farm, Fimber. • 17 people participated in Lady Graves excavation, adding detail to a feature identified by Mortimer in the 1850’s • Members learnt new skills including 3D photography and QGIS for magnetometry interpretation.

• Voluntary community archaeology group investigating the earliest settlement along the River Dee, Aberdeenshire • YouTube channel created in response to COVID halting fieldwalking. 25 videos created by the group. • 137 members and 6567 YouTube views to date. • 10,085 lithics found over 50 fields between 2017-2020
