Before commencing its building, please study the assembly instructions carefully and make sure you understand the building process. To complete the model you will need: a receiver (MZK), servos (Wipont W- 060), a controller (TMM-1210-3 or Jeti 12), an accumulator battery (3 LiPol cells of 640-1200 mAh), a motor (HCS-80/2E or similar of about 80 W output). Description of the model:|

This model of Lockheed SR-71 is completely made of EPP and has some carbon composite components. With its weight beginning at 280 grams it is an ideal model for flying in almost any suitable spot (e.g. a school playground or in the street). It is intended not only for experienced pilots, but also for advanced modellers. To power it you may use a motor from our production, e.g. the HCS-80/2E, and three Lithium Polymer cells. Thanks to a well thought-out design the construction would take only about 90 minutes. Building process: Unless otherwise stated, all joints should be glued with the rapid CyA (cyanoacrylate) glue. Start the building by gluing a carbon rod into the fuselage lower part (Fig. 1). According to the Fig. 2 install the ( combined with elevator). Glue together both halves of the wing and, using a sharp knife, cut a slit some 1 to 2 mm deep from both sides of the wing. Push a carbon rod into the slit and glue from both sides with thin CyA glue (Fig. 3). Glue the wing into the top fuselage part (Fig. 4). Now glue the servos into the fuselage. Glue the elevon servos into the ready openings (compartments) (Fig. 5). Cut the groove for the elevon levers and install the control rods (Fig. 6). Glue the motor bulkhead in place, including two wires, reinforcing the motor section of the fuselage (Fig. 7). Tack-glue the controller, using several drops of the CyA glue (Fig. 8). Attach the motor bearer with screws and install the motor (Fig. 9); cut out the offset opening for the receiver (Fig. 10). Glue the nacelle strake (Fig. 11) and the engine nacelle to the wing (Fig.12). Fig. 13 shows the opening for the propulsion accumulator battery (do not cut the opening yet). Cut out the opening for the controller in the lower fuselage part (Fig. 14). Using the Figs. 16 and 17 as a guide, glue the vertical tails onto the engine , ensuring their correct and parallel position with the fuselage. Cut away the fuselage lower part in places where the servos are protruding, to ensure an exact fit of both parts and the servos. Now glue the lower keel, the launch tray and the lower details on the engine nacelles (Fig. 18). Splice the controller power cables by about 450 mm. Dry-join the model fuselage halves, using several elastic bands, and set the position of the centre of gravity (Fig. 19). Shift the accumulator batteries until the model balances well. Now cut, according to the Fig. 13, an opening for the accumulator battery. Shorten the controller power cables as appropriate and glue the fuselage parts together. The model is finished now, its appearance could be enhanced by applying the decals. For the first flight, set the elevon displacement to half the normal value. Due to the propeller torque the model tends to roll to the left. Therefore set the of the right elevon some 4mm up compared to the left one. The model has unique flight characteristics, as, thanks to its layout, it can fly very fast, and also extremely slow. Only during the slow flight, i.e. during the launch, the effects of the propeller torque are more pronounced – the SR-71 rolls slightly to left. This model is no toy, avoid therefore flying in locations where you may endanger health or property not only of yourselves, but also of third persons.
