General business Morwenna Dixon reported that a woman in the US who works for the Duncan Miller Galleries has contacted her. They have bought the Sydney Morning Herald Archives photographs that had been sent to the US for digitising, after the company doing it had gone into liquidation. The gallery is trying to repatriate them. Morwenna found 13 photographs of Barker and purchased them for about US$9. She is happy to pass on the gallery’s contact details to older schools which might be represented in the photographs. Morwenna reported that she had been offered the archivist job at Arden and that her role at Barker would therefore be vacant. Prue Heath reported that Janet Howes had resigned from her role with the Sisters of Charity. Prue also noted that Nyree Morrison had done much of the work identifying the 5000 names in the WW2 project in her own time, having become very invested in it, and that news of the funding is very welcome. Julie Daly thanked archivists who had contacted her in relation to her research project and encouraged anyone else who could assist to get in touch with her. 8. Election of office bearers Jenny Pearce took the chair. Secretary: David Roberts indicated he was willing to continue and was elected unopposed. Convenor: Kerri Genovese and Enid O’Carroll indicated they were willing to continue as Co- convenors and were elected unopposed. Committee: Zachariah Duke, who had submitted a nomination prior to the meeting, was elected as a Committee member. 9.
