Detective Franks said Perez-Viera decided to turn himself in and walked into the Van Buren Sheriffs Department and gave a full confession. Detective Franks said alcohol and drugs did not seem to be a factor in the assault. He said Perez-Viera could not give a satisfactory explanation as to why he did it when he was questioned. Perez-Viera was placed in jail and arraigned the next day. His preliminary hearing was set for February 251^ but was waived. He 2003 Bud Prince & Princess Pageant March I...
