Clusters include Norway Health Tech, the health incubator Aleap, the lab-incubator for biotech start-ups ShareLab, and StartupLab’s more than 80 members.

The European Commission awarded Oslo the prestigious European Green Capital title for 2019. During this visit, participants will hear first-hand the measures the city is taking against climate change, including promoting green mobility, transitioning to a circular economy, planning sustainable urban development, and becoming a “blue and green city.”

The cluster is home to some of the world’s most famous communications companies, such as Ericsson and IBM, as well as a range of exciting start-ups and leading universities of Stockholm. for future technology—their testbed at this site, Urban ICT Arena, is where 5G and IoT technologies are being tested.

Kista Science City is built on the triple helix model—a collaboration between businesses, the public sector, and academia.

Regina Summer, Vinnova

Regina Summer, responsible for collaborations with Brazil and Canada, at Vinnova will give a presentation on Vinnova, the Swedish innovation agency, the Swedish innovation system and its infrastructure. What makes Sweden a top innovation nation? Why Vinnova is second best, after Silicon Valley in creating unicorn companies? They believe that system innovation and a mission oriented approach is necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. You need to innovate how you innovate.

Combient is the leading cross-industry collaboration network in the Nordics. The network collaborates under a joint non-disclosure agreement across boards, management, and business units. Together with Combient’s team of specialists, as well as an ecosystem of top universities and start-ups, they have created an out-of-the-ordinary space for shared assets and rapid growth.
