Spoonhour was previously the head coach at Moberly Area Community College where he coached for three seasons. He was a long time assistant coach at Career Double-Doubles the NCAA Division I level and served as the interim head coach at UNLV to complete the 2004 season posting a 6-4 record and taking the team to the finals of the Mountain GEORGE DIXON (11) LAST West Conference Tournament along with an NIT appearance. In 2001 Spoonhour was 15 pts, 12 reb vs Austin Peay - OVC (March 5, 2020) named the National Junior College Coach of the Year leading Wabash Valley College to the NJCAA National Championship with a 36-1 record. He is the son of the late legendary SAMMY FRIDAY IV (1) coach Charlie Spoonhour. Spoonhour played basketball at Pittsburg State earning LAST his degree in 1994. He was an honorable mention All-Conference selection. He has 14 pts, 12 reb at Green Bay (Dec. 5, 2020) assistant coaching stops at Central Missouri, Saint Louis, UNLV, Missouri and Texas San JORDAN SKIPPER-BROWN (3) Antonio. Spoonhour’s career mark is 218-175; 118-147 at the NCAA Division I level. His LAST EIU record is 112-143 with an OVC mark of 60-74. Spoonhour led the program to its first 14 pts, 13 reb at UT Martin (Feb. 15, 2020) NCAA Division I postseason win on March 17, 2015 with a 97-91 win at Oakland in the CIT.
