The ARL/RMA Workshop Day was held on the 28 November 2007 at the Clocktower in Moonee Ponds.

This years topic was Council Elections as preparation for all Councils to undergo Elections in November 2008.

The day kicked off with an introduction and overview from the Electoral Commissioner Mr Steve Tully.

Glenda Frazer from the Elections Branch then proceeded to cover election administration, Councils statutory responsibilities and what has changed from 2004 and 2005.

Mr Paul Strickland, Manager – Electoral Enrolment, covered details regarding representation reviews such as ward boundary changes and number of Councillors then prior to lunch we had our minds tested by the preferential Voting Counting System.

Following lunch which incorporated Puckle Street shopping for some, Merilyn Yemm covered voting entitlement changes and a roll production summary.
