Take a stone, everyone needs a stone. When you have a stone, hold it up so that we know when everyone is ready.

Now, hold it to your heart.

Think about the things you have done this week that you wish you hadn’t done. Think about the things you didn’t do this week that you wish you had done. Lift all these things done and left undone, off your hearts and lay them on the stones. O Christ, the Rock of Salvation, carry them.

The Great Thanksgiving The People remain standing, as able, children gather around the Altar.

Celebrant God be with you. People And also with you.

Celebrant Lift up your hearts. People We lift them up to the Lord.

Celebrant Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. People It is right to give God thanks and praise.

Facing the Holy Table, the Celebrant proceeds

Celebrant God, you made us and the world, and everything in it. All the good we see comes from you. You sent your son, Jesus, to come among us as a tiny baby, humbly born, human as we are, in need of human love.

This is his story. This is our song: People Hosanna in the highest!

9 Celebrant With signs of faith and words of hope Jesus touched sick people with love, and washed the guilty clean. He gave us a new commandment that we should love one another as he loved us. He offered his life for us, and with a love stronger than death he opened wide his arms on the cross.

This is his story. This is our song: People Hosanna in the highest!

Celebrant Through Jesus the frst disciples were flled with joyful power by your Holy Spirit, and spread his story to all the world. We join with all them and all the prophets, , and people everywhere as we say:

All Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Celebrant The night before Jesus died, he shared a meal with the friends he loved. Jesus took the bread and thanked you for it. He broke the bread and gave it to his friends. “Take it,” he said, “and eat it. This is my body that I give you. Do this to remember me.”

This is his story. This is our song: People Hosanna in the highest!

Celebrant After they had eaten, Jesus took the cup of wine and again thanked you for it. He gave it to his friends and said, “Drink it, all of you. This is my blood. It is God’s new promise that sins will be forgiven. Do this to remember me.

This is his story. This is our song: People Hosanna in the highest!

The celebrant continues

10 We share this meal to remember Jesus, and we say:

All Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.

Celebrant Around your table, as your children, O God, we remember Jesus Christ, who came in love, lived in love, and died in love, who was, and is, and is to come. We offer to you these gifts of bread and wine and we offer to you our lives. Pour out your Spirit upon these gifts that they may be for us the body and blood of Christ, and upon us that we may be strengthened to welcome all, and to share your story. Help us to love one another, so that through us your light may shine for the whole world. Until Christ comes again; we join with all your people in every time and every land praising you. Blessing, honor and glory be yours here and everywhere, now and forever.

This is his story. This is our song: People Hosanna in the highest!

THE LORD’S PRAYER

As our Savior Christ has taught us, we now pray,

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen
