Project Title: The Leeds Handel Festival Organisation/Applicant: arts@Trinity Award: 950 Locations: City & Date: March 2016 The revival of the Handel Festival at Holy Trinity Church which last took place in 1784. St Peters Singers will revive the rarely sung Brockes Passion, the performance will be accompanied by a series of talks.

Project Title: Women in Music events Organisation/Applicant: Come Play With Me CIC Award: 1000 Locations: Hyde Park & Woodhouse, City & Hunslet Date: March 2016 Events celebrating women in including Queens of the neighbourhood, a day of performances and spoken word to launch a new quarterly fanzine celebrating women in music in Leeds.

Project Title: Cross Green Growing Together Organisation/Applicant: Walter Lewis Award: 1000 Locations: & Richmond Hill Date: April 2016 – July 2016 A photography exhibition and newspaper documenting the development of a communal allotment in Cross Green. Large scale photographs of the gardeners, taken by Walter Lewis will be displayed in St Hilda's church. An accompanying newspaper, delivered door to door in the area, will act as both marketing for the exhibition and an additional element to the project.

Project Title: Cross Green Growing Together

Organisation/Applicant: Jacky Fleming Award: 500 Locations: City & Hunslet Date: March 2016 A humorous event for International Women's Day exploring the absence of women from the history books. Cartoonist Jacky Fleming will create original work for the event and will talk about being inspired by Darwin. Performance duo Magpie Three will create a new performance for the event, which takes place at The Leeds Library.

Project Title: Partnership in social documentary photography Organisation/Applicant: Karen Rangley Award: 1000 Locations: & , Beeston & , City & Hunslet, , Hyde Park & Woodhouse Date: March 2016 – August 2016 A photography project with the community Links positive pathways programme and photographer Karen Rangeley. 6 Photo-shoots will document the relationship between volunteers and service users. The participants will help shape the shoots and will be supported to create their own photographic documents too. The exhibition will be at Shine during Mental Health Week before touring Leeds venues.

Project Title: Me, Myself and Art Organisation/Applicant: Leeds Judean Boys & Girls Club Award: 1000 Locations: Moortown Date: March 2016 – August 2016 A young people’s project working with artists & designers to create wall designs to decorate the bare walls of the Zone Youth Centre.

Project Title: Leeds Print Festival Organisation/Applicant: Leeds Print Festival Award: 1000 Locations: City & Hunslet Date: April 2016 Leeds Print Festival, celebrating it's 5th year, is seeking to expand into the upstairs of its host venue Munro House to provide the whole festival experience of exhibitions, fair and workshops in one venue.

Project Title: Generate Organisation/Applicant: Manic Chord Theatre Award: 929 Locations: City & Hunslet Date: Sept 2016 – November 2016 A young person’s theatre project with Manic Chord Theatre and Stage@Leeds. From a series of citywide drama workshops 15 young people aged 16-18 will go on to spend 9 weeks with Manic Chord to create a new piece of work to be performed at Stage@Leeds. The young people will receive a free season pass to stage@Leeds and will gain an arts award. Match funding for Arts Council application.

Project Title: A Month of Jewish Words for all Organisation/Applicant: Milim Award: 1000 Locations: , Moortown, , , City & Hunslet Date: Sept March 2016 A literary festival about Jewish Life and culture featuring a poetry cafe with James Nash, a creative writing session with Wes brown, a lunchtime times and an author event with man booker winner Howard Jacobson.
