Phillip Bloch Biography

Best known as a celebrity stylist, Philip Bloch’s fashion expertise has earned attention on the red carpet. From dressing , , Selma Hayek, , Drew Barrymore, and many more, Bloch’s looks always make a statement.

In recent years, Phillip Bloch has leapt from behind the camera to the big screen. Bloch was cast to star in and produce his first feature film, “The Unseen,” which aired on the Starz Network in 2007. Since then, Bloch has appeared in 12 other films, including a cameo in “Bruno,” the No. 1 Blockbuster film of the summer in 2009, and in ’s upcoming film “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.”

In addition to his new acting career, Phillip is also an accomplished writer. Bloch has written for international magazines such as Elle, Fashion Quarterly, and Detour and has been a contributing editor to InStyle magazine. He is also the author of Elements of Style, which was published in 1999. Bloch is currently working on a new book to be released in 2010 called “The Shopping Diet” full of emotional and economical solutions to saving more and spending less.

Using his fashion expertise, he gives countless interviews on fashion, trends, style, beauty makeovers and thrifty shopping tips. He appears regularly on most major network news and talk shows and is frequently featured on VH1, MTV, CNN, E!, Style Network, Oprah and .

In addition to being a stylist Bloch is also a designer. In June 2000, Bloch designed and successfully launched a line of jewelry on QVC, and in 2007 Bloch launched his first ready to wear women's collection designed to combine star style and everyday affordable prices- taking the woman, 'from the boardroom to the ballroom.'

Bloch is very involved with charitable causes and regularly teams up with corporate, celebrity and private charities. He is an ambassador to the Youth AIDS organization, where he hosted events with celebrity colleagues. After the tsunami in 2005 Bloch worked with Clothes Off Our Back to coordinate a three- month charity auction to raise substantial funds for the UNICEF Tsunami Relief Fund. Most recently, he has teamed up with Clothes Off Our Back to raise funds for victims of the Haiti earthquake.

Phillip Bloch currently resides in New York City and Los Angeles.
