Lois FARAG ANDREW ROOT

Lois Farag joined Luther Seminary in 2005 as assistant professor Andrew Root joined Luther Seminary in 2005 as assistant of early church history. Previously she served as adjunct faculty professor of youth and family ministry. Previously he was at Ecumenical Institute of Theology, St. Mary's Seminary and an adjunct professor at Wesley Theological Seminary, University, Baltimore, Md. Trinity College, Washington, D.C. Washington, D.C.and Princeton Theological Seminary, and Loyola College, Baltimore, Md. Princeton, N.J.

Farag received a Bachelor of Science degree from the American Root received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethel College, University in Cairo, Egypt, in 1977. She earned her Master of St. Paul, Minn.,in 1997. He earned his Master of Divinity Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, Cambridge, Mass.,in 2000)and his Master of Theology (2005)degrees from Fuller 1997 and her doctorate from the Catholic University of America, Theological Seminary, Pasadena, Calif. He completed his Washington, D.C.,in 2003. She also was a research fellow at doctoral degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2005. the Institute of Christian Oriental Research, Washington, D.C. THE JOHN MILTON PRIZE IN OLD TESTAMENT is awarded to one or more students based on papers written by graduating Master of Divinity degree or Master of Arts degree students in the area of Old Testament.

A.E. HANSON PRIZE IN HOMILETICS are awarded to graduating seniors based on homiletical skills.

THE G.M. AND MINNIE BRUCE PRIZE IN NEW TESTAMENT is awarded to one or more students based on papers written by graduating Master of Divinity degree or Master of Arts degree students in the area of New Testament.

THE GRADUATE PREACHING FELLOWSHIP is given to an outstanding Master of Divinity degree graduate from the senior class. The fellowship provides the recipient with financing to study preaching overseas to enhance his or her career in preaching and parish ministry.

THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILY PRIZE is given annually to one or more students who demonstrate excellence in reflecting theologically, culturally and pragmatically on the practice of children, youth, youth adult or family ministries.
