PASTOR’S COLUMN Dear Saint Joseph Parish Family, I want to thank all of you for the wonderful installation weekend. I feel so blessed to be here at St. Joseph Parish for my very first “pastor-ship”, so to speak! There is no place else I would rather be. The Mexican fiesta party was truly outstanding. The food was great. Watching all the kids lay into the pinatas was so much fun. The most awesome thing though was realizing that God has entrusted me to shepherd this incredible parish. It is humbling, to say the least.

I want to thanks all of the staff and volunteers who made the whole weekend such an incredible success for the parish, namely Adrienne Griffard, Beth Joedicke, Father Winker, Pamela Bruce, Beth Throm, Keith Newbury, Cecilia Keene, Michelle Longtin and so many more! It was the BEST!

As we move forward into 2016, I take Bishop Rice’s words to heart in the homily. Please pray for me that I can shep- herd well. If you missed his homily, check it out. Father Winker will have it posted on the website this week.

God bless you all,

Fr. Dan Shaughnessy

The physical, emotional, and spiritual pain of abortion is undeniable. Because it is such a traumatic event, many who experi- ence an abortion develop a form of post-traumatic stress disorder known as Post-Abortion Syndrome (PAS). Project Rachel and Project Joseph provide healing and hope to women and men wounded by abortion through the following: • Free, confidential, professional counseling for anyone who has been wounded by an abortion experience • Monthly spiritual support group meetings • Women's Retreats and Men's Retreats, based on the Entering Canaan model. • Spiritual Direction or Reconciliation
