The Arts & Community Task Force Presents Artist Workshops in the Western May 19 - 27, 2016 (not including travel time)

Use your creative talent to connect. The PARTNERSHIP2GETHER Artist Workshops Program is a unique opportunity that allows you to volunteer your time and creativity to collaborate and share your knowledge with local Western Galilee residents. Through this program you have the chance to develop meaningful relationships with the people of the Western Galilee and , to learn more about the artistic endeavors in the region, and to grow your network of like-minded people.

We accept applications from artists working in all mediums, including, but not limited to; photography, music, glass, painting, theater, art therapy, writers, etc. This is a juried program with limited space available. Each artist accepted into the program will be matched with the appropriate/related groups and resources to make the most of their time and creative offering.

ALL Artists are required to provide: A completed 2016 Artist Workshops Application, a résumé or CV and 5 examples of your current work. All work will be considered and reviewed by the selection committee. The application deadline is February 1, 2016, accepted applicants will be notified by February 15, 2016.

ARTIST PROJECTS/WORKSHOPS EXAMPLE ITINERARY: May 19 Depart Ben Gurion Airport via train, travel north to the Western Galilee, welcome lunch & P2G presentation, check into Frank Hotel, Nahariya, evening dinner with Arts Task Force members May 20 Breakfast, tour of the Old City of Akko, and the Ethnographic Museum, lunch, visit the Akko Art Glass Center, free time, home Shabbat hospitality dinner May 21 Breakfast and free afternoon, Havdalah and dinner May 22 Breakfast, Project/Workshop Session, afternoon touring to Ga’Aton, free evening May 23 Breakfast, Project/Workshop Session, afternoon touring to the organic village of Clil, home hospitality dinner May 24 Breakfast, Project/Workshop Session, lunch and tour of the Ghetto Fighters House Museum and Moshe Kaupferman Museum, free time, home hospitality dinner May 25 Breakfast, Project/Workshop Session, lunch and tour of the arts in Kibbutz Cabri, free evening May 26 Breakfast, Project/Workshop Session, lunch, tour of Rosh Hanikra and northern border, summary meeting and Post-trip Project discussion, final dinner party and close of program May 27 Depart after breakfast www.westerngalilee.org.il CONNECT & MAKE A DIFFERENCE COSTS, EXPECTATIONS, WHAT WE PROVIDE The artist provides & is responsible for: • If accepted, you are responsible for round trip flight costs, health insurance, private local transportation, and any additional private meals or activities • Post-trip Project Plan: This project plan will be discussed during the closing meeting of the program. You will be required to make a commitment to share your program experience and art with your local community in the US–bringing the connection full circle. The Post-trip Project Plan can take on many forms; it will be documented by the participating artists and shared with their local Federation so they can assist you with its execution on your return.
