Keanu Kootswatewa and Autumn Funk were selected as Special Ed Royalty. Kyle Secakuku and Angela Adams were crowned the 2017 HoopComing King and Queen. On Feb. 2, in another action packed and loud Bruin gym, Hopi played their last home game against the Val- ley Sanders Pirates. That night was dedicated to the Senior Bruin Athletes. Senior Basketball Players, the Spirit Line and Wres- tlers were recognized (along with their parents and/or guests). This would be the basketball players and Spirit Line’s last performance on the Bruin gymn floor. The gym was packed to capacity as fans screamed, shouted and cheered for their Teams. After the game there were hugs and tears and despite the loss, fans were proud of their Bruin Team. Leaving the game, one Bruin fan said “I am a forever proud Bru- in Fan. I love the Team!” Another fan asked, “What is life after Bruin Basketball?”
