Top­ranked players compete The Nos. 1 and 2 players in the Polo Golf Rankings will go head­to­head at Sawgrass Country Club. No. 1 ranked­player Davis Shore looks to add a second Invitational title to his 2016 trophy case. Shore won the Rolex Tournament of Champions in June and also went undefeated in his second Wyndham Cup appearance. Trying to overtake the no. 1 spot is Florida native Eugene Hong. The 16­year­old Hong also took home an Invitational win in June with the Haas family Invitational at Sedgefield Country Club.

Top Players to Watch Davis Shore, Knoxville, Tenn. (2017) Shore, currently No. 1 in the Polo Golf Rankings returns to The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade­adidas Golf after a T5 finish in 2015. The University of Alabama commit looks to capture his second AJGA Invitational title of the year after a win at the Rolex Tournament of Champions.

Eugene Hong, Orlando, Fla. (2018) Trying to make a late push for the Rolex Junior Player of the Year, Eugene Hong has already taken home his first AJGA Invitational trophy during the 2016 season at the Haas Family Invitational. The No. 2 player in the Polo Golf Rankings, Hong is verbally committed to play for the University of Florida.

Sean Maruyama, (Japan) Encino, Calif. (2018) Maruyama made his mark on the 2016 season with a breakout win at the Western Junior Championship with scores of 71­66­71­70– 278. The 16­year­old UCLA commit is currently No. 11 in the Polo Golf Rankings.

Marc Hammer, Oetigheim, Germany (2018) The highest­finishing international player returning to The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade­adidas Golf is Germany's Marc Hammer. The 17­year­old fired rounds of 68­70­76­–214 to finish T5 in 2015.

Andrew Kozan, West Palm Beach, Fla. (2017) Florida native Andrew Kozan narrowly missed out on his first AJGA Invitational win in 2015, finishing one­shot shy of champion Chun­ an Yu. The Auburn verbal commit has one AJGA championship under his belt ­ he earned a PGA TOUR exemption after winning the 2015 Puerto Rico Junior Open presented by EaglesDream Golf Academy. Kozan is currently No. 23 in the Polo Golf Rankings.

Media Accommodations The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by TaylorMade­adidas Golf will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews. After each round, media officials on­site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds. About the AJGA The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
