DAY 1 DAY 1: WELCOME TO LAPLAND & THE SNOWCASTLE Begin your winter adventure at Airport, where a local representative awaits to greet you and transfer you to the SnowCastle for a memorable overnight experience! This unique — rebuilt each winter using snow and ice — is a source of pride in Kemi, showcasing the expert craftsmanship by the local builders. The illuminated snow- and ice-sculptures and the fresh air in your room will ensure sweet dreams tonight as you snooze in a thermal sleeping bag on top of a soft bed. Spend the night at the SnowCastle in Kemi. Attractions: Kemi, Snowcastle & Seaside Glass Villas

DAY 2 DAY 2: ICEBREAKER CRUISE, SWIM & NORTHERN LIGHTS Enjoy breakfast in the heated Service point. Around noon you will be taken by bus to Ajos Harbour for a cruise on the Sampo icebreaker ship. On board the Sampo, enjoy an interesting presentation about icebreaking techniques and the ship’s history followed by a visit to the control room and the huge engine room. You can also see how the Captain commands the vessel in the "bridge". After lunch in the ship's restaurant, it's time for the highlight of this tour: the “arctic swim”! A specially insulated floatation suit will keep you warm and buoyant as you take a dip in the 0-degree water of the . Before the tour is over, you will also receive an “icebreaking diploma” from the crew. In the evening, enjoy a guided snowmobile safari into the wilderness for a chance to see the northern lights dancing overhead.* Later, after a delicious hot beverage and light snack around a campfire, you will be transferred back to your hotel. Spend the night at a hotel in Kemi. *Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon so sightings cannot be guaranteed. Two people share one snowmobile and takes turns in driving on the evening tour. Attractions: Arctic swim, Northern Lights in Lapland, Sampo Icebreaker, Snowmobiling

DAY 3 DAY 3: TRAIN RIDE & LEISURE DAY IN Today you will board the train for the short ride to Rovaniemi, the hometown of . After checking in to your hotel, enjoy the day exploring this charming town at your leisure. Rovaniemi is considered the cultural centre of Finnish Lapland, and here you will find varied little shops and cafes as well as the Museum Arktikum, the Lapland Forestry Museum, the Pilke Science Centre, the Chamber Orchestra of Lapland and the Rovaniemi Museum of Art at the Korundi House of Culture. Spend the night at a hotel in Rovaniemi. Train duration: 1.5 hours Attractions: Rovaniemi

1/2 DAY 4 DAY 4: SAMI FARM & SANTA CLAUS VILLAGE The day’s adventures begin with a guided snowmobile safari to a reindeer farm where you will hear more about reindeer husbandry and the culture and traditions of the Sami, Lapland's native people. Here you can take a reindeer ride and attend a special ceremony of crossing the -- complete with a diploma for completing the experience! In the afternoon the trip continues by car to the one and only Santa Claus Village, where you have free time to do some shopping and enjoy lunch, send postcards from Santa Claus’ post office and -- of course -- meet Santa Claus himself. After telling Santa what you want for you'll be taken back to your hotel. Spend another night in Rovaniemi. Please note that during December, transportation to the reindeer farm may be by car instead of snowmobile but snowmobiles rides will still be part of the day's program. DAY 5 DAY 5: DEPARTURE FROM ROVANIEMI After a whirlwind of arctic experiences, it's time to go home and share all those wonderful memories and photos with your loved ones. Enjoy a comfortable transfer to for your departure flight.
