The Role

The CEO is a key role for SAE Europe and a member of the SAE Senior Leadership Team. This position provides leadership and management across all areas of SAE Europe’s strategies and operations and is expected to position SAE at the forefront of the Media industry in Europe. The CEO is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan to advance the company's international mission and objectives on a regional level and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organisation. It is also responsible for company strategy in the European region ensuring efficiency, quality, compliance, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

Overview and Objectives of the Position: Provide leadership and management across all areas of SAE strategies and operations and to position SAE at the forefront of the Media education industry in Europe. Develop and implement a strategic plan to advance the company's international mission and objectives on a regional level and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organisation. Responsible for company strategy in the European region ensuring: efficiency, quality, compliance, service, and cost-effective management of resources. The CEO Europe is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

3. Key Accountabilities of the role: i. Provide leadership and vision to the organisation. ii. Develop and oversee the implementation of a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organisation and ensure the company’s financial viability. iii. To lead the development of a strong SAE Culture, supporting the Navitas Group`s culture “Navitas First”. iv. Oversee company operations to ensure cost-effective management of resources including ensuring deployment of resources to enhance the quality of student experience. v. Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company. vi. Provide annual budget and financial plans to the CEO SAE Group for endorsement. Present quarterly financial management reports to the CEO SAE Group as prepared by the Chief Financial Officer SAE Group. vii. Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement. viii. Lead, nurture and enhance relationships with Middlesex University key management. ix. Identify and review the potential of new educational partnerships. x. Identify acquisition and merger opportunities and direct implementation opportunities. xi. Approve and ensure implementation of company operational procedures, policies, and standards. xii. Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. xiii. Evaluate performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives. xiv. In consultation with the HRBP, oversee human resource management within the region, with particular attention to talent acquisition and succession planning obligations, including: staff recruitment, staff appointments, development and training, employee relations, performance management and review systems. xv. Promote the company through all forms of media. Maintain and enhance the organisation’s profile and reputation; be responsible for external relations; to effectively represent the company at all times and execute commercial and cross-institutional negotiations as required. xvi. Represent the company at legislative sessions, committee meetings, and at formal functions. xvii. Promote the company to local, regional, national, and international constituencies. xviii. Other relevant duties as assigned.

4. Selection Criteria

i. MBA studies or equivalent. ii. Significant senior/executive leadership and management experience in and vocational education. iii. Track record of delivery strong financial performance. iv. Evidence of achieving targeted objectives in challenging educational environments. v. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change to achieve strategic objectives. vi. Extensive knowledge of creative media industries and professional bodies relevant to SAE fields of study. vii. Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills. viii. Proven ability to work in and foster a collegial working environment. ix. Experience in working with diverse organisational structures and locations. x. Understanding of Anti-Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Access and Equity, EEO principles and practices, Occupational Health and Safety, and other relevant legislation, including academic industrial relations issues. xi. Excellent strategic planning and organisational skills. xii. Ability to perform effectively under pressure. xiii. Availability to frequently travel locally and internationally. xiv. Must have rights to live and work in UK/Europe.

5. Key result areas:

i. Positive external and internal quality assurance reviews, audits and reports in relation to all SAE locations in the region. ii. The maintenance of harmonious working relationships across all areas of responsibility, both internally across SAE and with relevant external organisations, bodies and agencies, including key strategic partners. iii. The provision of required data and reports, including effective and timely implementation of any report outcomes. iv. Financial indicator of business performance (Financial viability and success). v. The quality of advice provided to other SAE executive management. vi. Professional standards of discretion, confidentiality and privacy with respect to internal communications and company information. vii. Highest levels of professional conduct and behaviour in representing the company and the position.
