Venue and Transport Information The information below is intended to allow delegates to easily access the conference venues and ’s transport network.

Royal Conservatoire of (RCS) The conference will be hosted by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland at its city centre campus, 100 Street, Glasgow, G2 3DB. RCS is centrally located with very good transport links.

Train: RCS is a 5 minute walk from Glasgow Queen Street Station and under 10 minutes from .

Subway: The nearest Subway stop is Cowcaddens which is less than 5 minutes’ walk away.

Bus: Bus Station is a 5 minute walk away and is the main bus station in the city. FirstBus provides services for Glasgow City and the surrounding areas, with Scottish Cityink providing links to the rest of the UK.

Parking: RCS does not have a car park on site. Cambridge Street Car Park is located next to the RCS building and is run by . Parking charges will apply.

Getting to the city centre from Airport buses run from the airport to up to every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, and take approximately 25 minutes. Further information can be found here .

Glasgow has two train stations which are approximately a 5 minute walk apart. There is also a connecting shuttle bus. Glasgow Queen Street serves the north of Scotland and has an express service to every 15 minutes, with Glasgow Central Station having services to southern Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Glasgow has an extensive urban rail network which make many parts of the city and surrounding area easily accessible from the city centre. Services run from both Glasgow Queen Street and Central Station Lower Level platforms.

Glasgow Taxis Glasgow has an extensive fleet of black taxis which are safe, reliable and are all wheelchair accessible. Please note that due to Glasgow City Council by-laws only black taxis can be hailed in the street. Private hire taxis, or mini cabs, can only be pre-booked from a specific location.

Local amenities

The area around RCS is well supplied with local amenities, with nearby Sauchiehall and Buchannan Streets providing pharmacies, supermarkets and sandwich/coffee shops, as well as plenty of shops to provide any forgotten travel essentials.
