So How's Your Heart Today? Not your heart that pumps your life giving blood, I mean the heart that is your soul, your being, your spirit. The talks a lot about our spiritual heart. In Psalms 51, had sinned against God. He had taken the wife of another man. David repents asking forgiveness for his Sinful Heart and asked God in verse 10 to create in him a Pure & Clean Heart. When Moses asked the Pharaoh to let the enslaved Israelites leave , the Bible says in Exodus that Pharaoh's heart was Hardened and he refused to let them go. Proverbs 28: 14 says, " He who hardens his heart falls into trouble. Sometimes we harden our hearts and turn away from God when life doesn't go our way. We become miserable and we make others miserable in the process. Maybe your heart has been Broken. Something has happened, life has been unkind and you are Heart Broken. David said in Psalms 34: 18 , " The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Maybe your heart is divided between the world and God. The told the rebellious people that if they would repent, God would give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit within them. (Ezekiel 11: 18) Finally God wants to give us all new hearts. : 25-26 says, " I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. ( I will remove your hard heart and replace it with a soft heart.) So How's your heart? God wants us all to be men and women after God's own heart. Come Sunday and we'll talk some more. God Bless you all. Louis
