13 THE IRISH TRAINER / SEPTEMBER 2018 New auction hurdle race series The Irish European Breeders’ Fund and Connolly’s RED MILLS have joined forces to launch the RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction Hurdle Series.

The series gets underway at Listowel on 11 September with a €20,000 maiden and finishes in April 2019 with a valuable €75,000 final, and total prize-money of €355,000.

NOTICE TO TRAINERS The Licensing Committee has expressed a concern about the increase in the number of trainers appearing before them due to lapses in insurance. Trainers are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that their insurance is in force and that renewals are dealt with prior to the expiration date. As a result of the large number of insurance lapses in recent times the Licensing Committee has instructed that trainers will not be permitted to run horses after the expiry date of their current insurance, unless a new insurance certificate has been lodged with the Licensing Department of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, which contains the following information: � Both Public and Employer Liability cover for the training of racehorses � Expiry date � The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board named a “Notice Party”
