Dear Parent/Carer

As part of our Geography fieldwork this term, Mustard Class will be learning about rivers, so we are planning a trip out to follow Laceby Beck till it meets up with the River Freshney. We will be looking at the features of rivers and how these change when a stream becomes a river. The children will have a list of various features they are to look out for.

We are intending to go on the morning of 12th June. The children will be studying the best route to take using the local Ordnance Survey maps prior to going out.

They will need to take some bottled water with them and suitable footwear, as we will be walking several miles, wellies and a coat if it has been raining or hat and sunblock if sunny. They will receive a snack on arriving at our destination (a biscuit/fruit), so if your child has an allergy to anything that we are not already aware of, please let us know beforehand. We are intending to return to school by lunch time.

We would welcome any offers to accompany the children on this fieldtrip, so if you are available and would like to help, please inform Mrs Groves.

Thank you for your continued support with Mustard Class.

Yours faithfully

Mrs S Groves
