Andre Bradley and his wife Phyllis were involved in the Great Strike in the North Derbyshire area, and collected a range of publications and other documents, including material relating to the activities of women’s support groups.

B1 A small personal collection of miscellanea relating to the Miners’ Strike of 1984-85, in which Andre and Phyllis Bradley were involved in the North Derbyshire area, including photographs and letters, together with some posters, pamphlets and news-cuttings. Some material relates to activities of Women’s support groups. This section is listed below.

B2 , including special publications, relating to the Strike and to the coal industry more generally, collected by the Bradleys. The most substantial collections are of and Morning Star; other titles included may consist of occasional or even single copies. This section is listed below.

B3 Later collection of material deposited by Andre Bradley, including working documents from Ireland and Markham Collieries, minutes, pamphlets and leaflets, conference reports, newspapers and cuttings.
